When I say we stayed here in June, that's actually an exaggeration, we never actually got our room so technically, we didn't stay. We arrived at 2.30 pm to be told the room wasn't ready as it was still being cleaned. They didn't know when it would be ready...this was a problem...we were due at a wedding a 4 pm... more

My wife had business in nearby Walton Oaks and her company booked us into the Mercure Burford Bridge Hotel Boxhill. We were in Room 210, up a couple of flights of stairs. The room was spacious and with a large bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. The only drawback to the hotel is it's lack of an elevator. Luckily for... more

We had a Golden Wedding lunch here with 30 + guests and we stayed overnight. The staff were brilliant in helping to arrange the details - menu, seating, drinks, flowers, cake etc. The hotel is beautifully situated with good walking available and is easily accessible. Buses stop outside and the railway station is a ten minute walk away. The food... more

I stayed a this hotel midweek as a business traveller. I was allocated room 26, left at the top of the stairs, the room was small, with very creaky floor boards. i was suprised how small the room was considering the cost was over £150 per night. Break fast was an dissapointing buffet service, at over £15 i was expecting... more

We have known and used this hotel for years and it used to be of very high standard. I was brought up in Dorking and it was probably the smartest of the hotels at that time. In more recent years, we had an absolutely dreadful lunch with 6 other people about 4 years ago. The food was just about passable,... more

The Burford Bridge Hotel stands in a picturesque location, yet only 10 minutes from junction 9 of the M25. The reception area is light and breezy, and service was swift if a little impersonal. The hotel seemed somewhat quiet for a valentine’s weekend, but this suited us perfectly. The lounge and bar areas are very homely with plenty of little... more

My husband and I stayed at the Burford Bridge following our wedding reception in Oct 2001. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly, the service was fantastic and the food was amazing! 5 years on, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary by returning. We were not disappointed. We had the most fantastic evening. Once again, the staff were... more

Good location, within easy reach of the motorway and surrounded National Trust forest, ideal for people who loved to ramble. Now for the hotel, as I said in the title the room was lovely, newly renovated with a contemporary fell, all mod cons, bathroom was tiny but that was a minor niggle. The problem with this nice hotel is the... more

I only stayed there for one night but would happily have extended! The hotels rather ugly exterior hides a gem of a hotel. Once inside the hotel has been renovated to a really high standard and whilst it is an historic building (Nelson and Lady Hamilton stayed there!), the bedrooms and public areas are really modern. A wedding was being... more
