Was a little concerned on reading some of the reviews of the Plough, but found the staff very friendly, the rooms clean and the food, especially the ploughman's very good. Greta walking country, and handy for Gatwick

We stayed on our way to Gatwick Airport and did enjoy the experience and the cross country trip to the airport in the morning. Everyone was very friendly and we would stay again. However we would request not to be given room 4 as there is a skylight with no blind positioned directly above the bed and the light steaming... More

Have been twice now, to The Plough in Coldharbour. Lovely pub in a quaint village. Great stop off on a visit to Leith Hill. Food was very impressive, had the ploughmans - really good homemade bread roll and chutney. Can also recommend the burgers and fish and chips. Friendly staff, garden with stunning views.

We stayed for just one night last night. Lunch was great and so was breakfast and as everyone has said large portions! We had chosen the more expensive room and I have to say it left us feeling a little disappointed considering the price. The bed was very clean and comfortable the furniture a bit tired & the en suite... More

My fiancée and I visited on a Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat. Whilst the bar maid was very friendly, the landlady was quite rude and brash and the atmosphere was less than welcoming. Anyway we had high hopes for the homemade food. We ordered a crab salad and a 3oz burger and to be honest some of the... More

We were made very welcome, and helped out of a difficult situation.. The menu looks good and the locally brewed beer tastes very good. We will be back and we will take friends with us. highly recommended especially mid week

Being some distance out of Dorking, this hotel is suitable for those with their own transport but the quiet country atmosphere and the availability of good walks and scenery more than compensate for lack of town amenity. The staff, particularly Kirsty, were very friendly and made us feel welcome for what was our first night of a 5 week tour... More

A trip down memory lane to Coldharbour, where we lived for many years had to include a visit to The Plough. In fact we had lunch here before our walk then returned for a cup of tea before driving down to Wiltshire. In some ways nothing had changed, the place looked just the same when we walked in. There was... More

Stayed one night, not the best of greetings by the landlady, not rude, but a little smile would have been nice. Room pleasant, clean and comfy bed. I have been here several times when doing a bit of off road cycling just for a beer, which is very good, Tallywacker my fave. Fantastic location for walking etc. Good beer garden.... More
