First and foremost thank you to Aoife, you are a complete gem and made our stay even more special!! Whatever they are paying you, it is not enough! We stayed here for two nights and had a great time, the beer is good, the food is very good and the room was lovely. The pub has great character and is... More

This is a good pub selling local beer from the Leigh Hill brewery, The food is ok, they have a good selection of burgers, however the kitchen closes in the afternoon. On my latest visit I arrived late the kitchen was closed, which was disappointing as I was looking forward to a burger and had to settle for a pint... More

My partner and I stopped off for lunch and had one of the most fun, memorable meals out we have had in quite a while. As we arrived at 2.30pm we weren't sure the pub would still be serving hot food, but Ed the publican was very happy to oblige. We put in an order for a roast beef and... More

I've been to the Plough on several occasions, due to the location and the excellent Biddendens cider kept here. Personally, I have always been served in reasonable time and in a couth fashion, and I have not witnessed any unpleasantness going on. Apart from the high prices the only personal cause for complaint I have encountered was a period about... More

I had a solo lunch at The Plough Inn on Saturday and enjoyed it so much I returned the next day with the family! This is a basic sort of pub - wooden floorboards, damp dogs, open fire, good beer and decent food - just what I wanted - along with many other walkers on Leith Hill on both days.... More

I visited the plough for Sunday lunch with a group of fellow walkers, 11 in total. We had booked in advance and had also pre-ordered our meals at the Pub’s request. On arriving I was greeted by a member of staff. There were 2 log fires burning in the bar area which was welcoming. As the pub was quite busy,... More

We chose this hotel as it was fairly close to Hampton Court where we were visiting the next day. It was in a quiet area, near Leith Hill, the highest point in SE England. The hotel was quite old, but well appointed, with its own brewery. Beer tasting was the evening's entertainment before dinner and the barmaid was very generous... More

I stayed for two nights with my boyfriend over the Christmas period. The location is perfect from a countryside break with beautiful but manageable walks on the doorstep. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful and the food was great - especially the burgers. We stayed in Room 3 which was comfortable and amazingly quiet. The log fire and real... More

Headed here for a 'pub lunch' on a dismal, misty day in rural Surrey. After a few hours walking on Leith Hill, a hearty pub lunch and a roaring fire would have fitted the bill. Plus points - pleasant but run of the mill service from our bar / waitress, pleasant Irish brogue. Microbrewery beer, homemade burger. Minus points -... More

Booked this place online for a two night stay. On arrival we found the hotel was nothing like the pictures on it's website. Very tired furniture and decor, the bed looked so dirty we refused to stay the night. Be careful booking online. If your ever in the area pop in and see for yourself before booking.
