Good hotel with a good location for the centre. On street parking is in front and behind hotel. Managed to get parked a little way up the road. We stayed here for 1 night for an evening race meeting. We had room number 1 and although it was at the front of hotel and on the main road did not get... More

We have just stayed in this bed and breakfast. Room was clean and perfectly adequate. A fab Breakfast was served in a small basement room cooked on arrival by a lovely friendly lady. Parking was easy as plenty of free parking on road just round corner. A great location for a night at the races just a very short walk... More

We had no problems with booking, and don't mind at all letting ourselves in using key pads, however the parking is a huge problem. True there is on street parking but only until 8 a.m. and we did not feel like risking a fine to add to our overnight costs. The car park mentioned before is also free overnight and... More

Stayed one night for race day. Convenient for races and town centre. Room was clean and spacious, comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine, although you may have to queue for one of the three tables. No staff on site. Entry via keycodes.

I would like a rating option of 'good-ish' but clicked average as the next option up was 'very good'. This is a small bed and breakfast centrally located. There is no dedicated parking but there is street parking and a (free overnight) long stay car park on All Saints Road which is about a 5 min walk (my sat nav... More

we booked for 2 nights. Seeing as we were checking in on Good Friday I was pleased to find vacancies here. I read some of the reviews and all seemed ok. We arrived and the booking in process of emailing the outside door code and the code to your room made things much easier. The hallway and stairs were bright... More

We are in the process of updating our rooms, particularly the en-suite bathrooms, beds and furnishings. We endeavour to provide clean comfortable accommodation and a good quality breakfast at a reasonable all-inclusive price. Although we are not continuously staffed, someone is always available to answer any queries by telephone. More

We booked several rooms for a family wedding and nobody was happy. There is no one there till breakfast and they are impersonal and unhelpful. The suite toilet was hanging off the wall and even after reporting it by phone and with the breakfast staff nothing was done. The rooms were shabby but clean. The bedrooms were passable but cramped.... More

We have just spent two nights at Ashley house after a racing weekend, I couldn't fault the place! We were able to leave our bags when we arrived even though it was around 11 am. Comfortable bed, decent shower, very spacious room and nice and quiet, there was however no wardrobe as such but there was a cupboard with iron... More

This property should be classed as 'Serviced Rooms' not B&B. No welcome. No-one around. Very impersonal. We booked a twin room but were given a double plus sofa bed. The sofa bed was not at all supportive. We had travelled 3 hours to get there. Normally you can request some fresh milk in a hotel or guesthouse but absolutely no... More

We had one night in the Ashley House, the booking procedure went smoothly enough but as we were staying for the races the rooms were £20 above what was advertised, the lady I spoke to was very nice and knocked us £5 off per room as we were leaving early and didn't require breakfast, but paid £55 for a single...
