There was a stale water smell upon arriving in the check-in area. There was a smell of deep fat fryer oil that had never been changed in the dining area. This is a small family run hotel were Kevin and Julie cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We asked if we could check in before a wedding and get changed which was not a problem - providing that they know. Although they could not guarentee that our room would be ready one could be provided for us. however... more

There are plenty of other places to stay in Newmarket other than this one. We turned up at this hotel and were so disappointed that we left. It was worth paying the over-priced room rates simply not to stay there. Don't be fooled by the website. The pictures are very flattering. more
