Under new management and why I might say I'm highly impressed, the new landlord and landlady are fantastic, funny and have great customer service skills. The food is fantastic and the battered prawns are a must try, best I have ever tried. America eat your heart out! Will definitely return on a regular basis as we live in the area,... More

Stopped during a walk with my husband for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The Inn is under new management and also have all new staff. The food was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. We even got a look round at the B&B rooms which were all bright, clean and fresh. Definitely will be revisiting.

Popped in for lunch today and we were wholly impressed by the changes! The new management have taken on the place with gusto and restoration isn't interfering with day to day running. Nice and clean with a good range of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic and the lunch menu, while obviously still in its infancy, was ample and even... More

With a new landlord it seems that many of the historic issues have been solved. Maintenance work is in full swing, a new chef is about to be employed and the beer is good even if the range is currently somewhat limited. The rooms are always going to be small but they are clean and comfortable. If it wasn't 12000... More

Stayed here on a business trip. Room was absolutely fine, spacious and clean with a generous hospitality tray. Went for a twin room so I could have an en-suite bathroom, the compact shower room was clean and fresh, the shower was amazingly powerful with lots of hot water. I had dinner at the pub, the service was friendly and the food... More

The room smelled of insecticide & wood varnish, & the bedside table had someone else's toenail clipping on it. Ensuite bathroom was next door. Breakfast was poor quality. The only good point is that it was quiet, & there was a large bottle of mineral water in the room.

Luckily we only stayed one night and had not looked on here before! Described as village location we expected something quiet and idyllic. Bearing in mind we were going up on the gallops early the next morning the Bed out of this B&B experience was important. Do not stay here if you wnat to get a good nights sleep. The... More

Rooms are basic but comfortable. The pub has an excellent atmosphere and very friendly staff, a lovely place to drink! Food is standard pub grub to a reasonable standard. Very good value for money, nothing upmarket but would stay again
