The Bull is a brilliant old style traditional English hotel in a quiet village. The rooms are so quirky and old fashioned, but comfortable at the same time. It's got two lovely bars, one with a magnificent fireplace. The choice of Real ales was excellent when we visited and the food was very good also. We were attracted by an... more

Excellent value. Very comfortable furniture and well-presented bar snacks. There is obvious personal effort and not just van catering. Good, attentive service from young chattering staff. Wet sales are expensive, Highly recommended to all. more

Wish I had rung and checked for functions! Went for a weekend (fri-sun) and when arriving found the lounge was in use only for wedding guests and the music went on and on so incredibly noisy! The lounge reserved next day too and then another function Sat night with more music and more noise, also lounge out of bounds again.... more

Our stay was delightful the staff were charming and helpful and the food we could not fault. It's clean, well kept and teaming with history. It's a great advantage point to look around Suffolk. We went to Lavenham which was picturesque with it's timber framed buildings and the leaning Crooked House gallery. It's like stepping back in time and you... more

We stayed on a Thursday and Friday night as a party of four in two standard double rooms. There were different staff on duty each day but all were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were large and clean with TV, stereo, hairdryer, iron, ironing board and well stocked hospitality tray. The hotel was very quiet the first night and... more

Stayed for a Saturday and Sunday night. Noted previous comments about noise so requested a quiet room when I booked - there is a whole wing on a quiet side of the hotel and we weren't bothered by noise at all. Our standard room was comfortable, with ensuite bath and an overhead shower with plenty of pressure - furniture and... more

The staff are probably the best we have ever come across, lovely ladies (mainly) who know the local area and seem to genuinely want you to have a great stay. We loved the old building, it has a very relaxing atmosphere. Our room was large and comfortable (you have to ignore the fact that everything leans or slopes due to... more

I love this hotel. I got married there in May of last year. And we booked all 26 gorgeous rooms for the night. Best weekend of our lives. Friendly staff, gorgeous food, clean comfortable rooms. Rustic country feel. And priced like a good pub not a good hotel. So more than reasonable!!! Please trust when I say that this hotel... more

Having booked on spec via the hotel's website, I was relieved and delighted to find The Bull as charming as it had seemed--and welcoming to our dog, too. The rooms were spacious (my family took three standard doubles), comfortable and well-equipped, although only two of the three had music-playing equipment. Staff were friendly and professional, and the food was good... more

11 of us had a family get-together over the weekend. The hotel was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Special thanks to Sue (Reception) and Maureen (Restaurant) for their help in making our weekend extra special - the weather helped too! We all enjoyed it so much, the family want to repeat it next year. Many thanks. more
