This is a great place to stay. The hosts are helpful and friendly, the rooms are lovely and the breakfast is small but perfectly formed. I can't recommend this place highly enough if you want to stay somewhere with character and charm. more

We stayed at Wood Hall over the August bank holiday weekend and had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay there. Jane was a charming host, and provided a top-notch breakfast including fresh fruit salad (different each day), beautifully cooked "full English", toast, home-made jam, cereal, yoghurt etc. Jane was also very helpful with reliable recommendations for places to visit, and... more

We stayed at Wood Hall in June and enjoyed our night there very much. The room was spacious and comfortable, with our own little annex for bathroom and toilet. Lots of books to choose from and lovely touches, like the real leaf tea and fresh milk on the tea tray. I have to say we didn't get offered tea and... more

Very much enjoyed our stay at Wood Hall. Charming hostess, fascinating house, excellent breakfast (and very pleasant tea with cake the day before!). Lovely spacious double room with antique furniture but all mod cons. Susan recommended (and made a dinner reservation for us at) the Rose in Lindsey which was also excellent. Close to Lavenham (and Long Melford) more

We only stayed one night to visit friends in the area, the weather couldn't have been better to show off the lovely property of Wood Hall. Quiet, clean, elegant, charming. Susan and Patrick were friendly and perfect hosts for our brief stay. Stayed in both rooms, and they were spacious ones! Plenty of interesting books, paintings, pictures, knick knacks, antiques:... more

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Wood Hall where we had a wonderful relaxing time. On arrival, Susan treated us to a cream tea (scones, home made jams etc) which was delightful and very welcoming. Our double room had a huge bed and plenty of room in it - wardrobe, chest of drawers, two comfortable chairs,... more

This was our first time staying at a guest house/B&B and we were not disappointed. The location was in a quiet village and our room overlooked open country side. The building comprised of two elements joined together, I would suggest one 16th and one 18th. It was tastefully furnished with lovely antiques which enhanced its character. Our room was the... more

We have just returned from Wood Hall after celebrating our first wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better place to stay. Wood Hall is a charming house brimming with history and Susan and Patrick made us feel exceptionally welcome in their home. We arrived to tea and homemade cake and Susan was extremely helpful in recommending places... more
