Beautiful spacious bedroom with large en-suit. Fabulous breakfast and very welcoming hosts. No problems with parking and everything in walking distance. A truly remarkable place. In fact a very rare gem -not to be missed!!

It is a lovely family run B&B. The rooms are very well appointed, we had a comfortable evening and a fantastic home cooked breakfast the next day. It is a great location for Bury and the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere around the area.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Ounce House last week just for one night, I wish it could have been longer. Rooms are very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Facilities in the room were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Jenny Potts, the owner. Breakfast was superbly prepared and the quality of the food was excellent.... More

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. The house was very impressive as was our welcome from the friendly owner who was happy to share local knowledge etc. The room was adequate in space and had all the amenities we needed. However the bed, pillows and linens were in need of updating. Everything was very clean, just not... More

Whenever we are lucky enough to come to Bury St Edmunds we always stay at Ounce House. It is a beautiful small family run hotel, incredibly welcoming and a real home from home. The owners Jenny & Simon go out of their way to welcome you and give you any information that you need. Staying in their home, one feels... More

We stay in the Ounce House regularly when visiting our elderly Mum who lives in Bury. We always feel welcomed, the rooms are very comfortable and the breakfasts outstanding. Everything is easy, car parking in the front, walking to restaurants and help with taxis or directions. In the summer the garden is a delight.

I hadn't intended to spend this much on a room, but at the last minute, accommodation was scarce. I'm glad I did, though. The hotel was charming, a nice mix of friendly and warm B&B with a little more privacy and than some places I've stayed where it feels like your staying in someone's home. There were little quirky touches,... More

A really lovely, family run hotel. I had to stay in Bury St Edmunds for business and chose this hotel for the location. It made such a refreshing change from the faceless chain hotels available in larger cities. The rooms are really big, with beautiful old furniture. Jenny, the owner is very welcoming, and can offer advice about how to... More

We have just returned from our third stay at the Ounce House and have thoroughly enjoyed our visit again. It really is such a beautiful property and having stayed in a different bedroom each time we can honestly say that all the rooms are lovely, very comfortable and spacious (although the room called Barclay is our favourite!) What we like... More
