This was the second time my partner and I stayed at West Stow Hall. We love staying in the little studio. I wondered if it would be as good as the first time but even though it poured with rain and I felt a little under the weather it was still really lovely. Eileen came over in the rain just... More

We were made so welcome - the room was attractive and comfortable. Even though it was July, the weather was cold and wet and the heating was put on and the fire lit. The breakfast was fantastic, nothing too much bother. We will certainly go back and will recommend to all our friends. A beautiful place with an interesting past,... More

Our family stayed at West Stow Hall for my son's wedding at Hengrave Hall. My son also stopped at West Stow Hall with the family the night before his wedding. Eileen was brilliant, she was generous, kind and thoughtful. We also stayed on the night of the wedding and the following morning had a fantastic family breakfast. After this magnificent... More

We stayed in room 2 for two nights. Extremely comfortable and quiet. Several family members stayed in other rooms, (Our family wedding was at nearby Hengrave Hall, very convenient) we all met for breakfast in the huge dining room. Breakfast was delicious and a great weekend was had by all. A massive thank you to Eileen and Andy, nothing was... More

I've just returned from a night's break at West Stow Hall. The house and grounds are incredibly peaceful and atmospheric - just beautiful - but on top of all that, Eileen and Andy are fantastic hosts. I arrived while Andy was conducting a tour of the house and Eileen was busy preparing the wonderful tea and cakes for the visitors.... More

Firstly the location is lovely. Almost magical. We saw hare, muntjac deer and horses with their foals from the kitchen window. The cottage is set away the main house in its own walled garden. It is very private. The cottage itself was very comfortable and provided a spacious holiday base for 2 people. It is well located for Bury St... More

I chose West Stow Hall after reading TripAdvisor reviews and I was not disappointed. I stayed for 2 nights in the garden studio and spent the time just gazing at the wonderful Tudor building. The grounds are lovely and as said before nothing is too much trouble for the perfect hosts Eileen and Andy. I hope one day to have... More

Amazing! Lovely hosts, great breakfast and a gem of a building. We went with two children (2yo and 3mo) and they couldn't have been more accommodating. We went out in Bury St Edmunds (the Abbey Park is a great way to spend an afternoon) and also tried the Anglo Saxon village which was great for the toddler as there is... More

I am not sure I have come across accommodation with 100% excellent reviews before, but this certainly lived up to them. Excellent welcome from the very down to earth host Eileen to this stunningly beautiful historic building. Amazing breakfast. Enjoyable conversation in the evening. Nightcap left in the room. Comfortable bed. Lovely grounds. Great dog. Eileen even found some hayfever... More

Stayed for two nights in the Studio and I'm not going to make any bad points as there weren't any. From the lovely hostess in Eileen to a wonderful two room cottage, all was perfect. Very clean and warm with the stove and other heaters. Good breakfast and very comfy bed. Shower was fine, powerful and hot. All this set... More
