The weather may have been patchy for our 3 day stay but the welcome and the hospitality at West Stow Hall was consistently fantastic. The property is stunning with lots of quirky interesting features and you are made to feel more like friends at a country weekend house party than paying guests - nothing is too much trouble for Eileen... This B & B is first class. The setting is amazing - very relaxing. We enjoyed relaxing with a book one afternoon on the lawns. Monty (the very friendly dog) was always on hand to keep you company and so were all the lovely birds. The room was brilliant. Very large! We have stayed in "period" B & B's before... More

We stayed at West Stow Hall for three nights during July 2014. This was a wonderful experience from the time we arrived when we were served tea and cake until moments before we left when we were given a tour of the house by our host Eileen. Breakfast followed by a walk around the grounds was a perfect start to... More

We really felt as though we had stepped onto the pages of history in this rambling, early Tudor property. Our welcoming hosts had prepared a light supper - as requested - which we enjoyed in the dining room before moving into the lounge where they had thoughtfully lit a fire.

Where to start? This is an amazing B&B, comfortable, quiet, beautiful, historic and really really friendly. We stayed here for a big family birthday and the hospitality was fantastic, going far beyond what you would expect. The rooms are very comfortable and mostly quiet, although the floorboards in our room creaked, but what do you expect from a building that... More

It was my second trip to West Stow Hall with my Dad and it was just as much fun as the first time. Eileen is the landlady and nothing is too much trouble for her. There is a wonderful variety at breakfast and there is lots to do around the area. Eileen owns a very friendly dog called Monty. I... More

My wife and I stayed for seven nights at West Stow Hall during a vacation at the end of May. We were in the studio, but ate breakfast with other guests in the hall. The studio is a delightful place to stay; it has a small kitchen area with a two-burner stove, half-height refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle, plus a... More

We stayed here for a weekend for my husband's 50th birthday and it couldn't have been better. The rooms and house are just beautiful and the beds are very comfortable. More importantly Eileen's welcome is fantastic and you immediately feel relaxed and at home. Monty the dog was a very welcome playmate for the girls and took them for walks... More

My husband and I stayed in the lovely Gardener's cottage in the grounds of West Stow hall for a week with my parents. We were visiting for a family wedding, and my brother stayed in the lovely little studio for two nights too. The cottage was tastefully decorated and provided everything we needed. The bedrooms were light and comfortable (the... More

Staying here is a real delight. We felt privileged to be given a glimpse of the past by being shown the restoration work in progress. The original features are stunning, from early wall paintings to carved timbers and tudor plaster. What a fascinating and interesting place! As if this wasn't enough the welcome is warm. Many little extras are provided;... More
