What a superb experience my wife and I had from being welcomed by Christine as we parked the car right through to the next morning having explored the magnificent gardens! So many brilliant little touches added to wonderful accommodation. If you visit Suffolk this B & B is an absolute must stay there!! Brian & Maureen

Words cannot describe our stay here. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Christine who offered us her warm home made scones and jam served with clotted cream and a hot pot of tea, a delight after a 3 hour drive! . A burning log fire in the guest's room made it even more comforting. Our bedroom on... More

Our first impressions of the house and gardens were delightful and to be met by Michael before even having turned off the ignition was a lovely start to our weekend. He certainly made us feel most welcome and after showing us our room, which we were very pleased with we were invited to take home made scones and jam and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during a weekend break in Suffolk. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, Christine and Michael treated us like family friends. Christine's homemade scones served with tea was a great way to kick off our stay. The Peach room was extremely clean and comfortable and we both agreed that the pictures... More

Originally intended to stay in Cambridge but disappointed at the quality of the hotels on offer. Then discovered the Drinkstone, and it's wonderful reviews, so took the plunge and booked. I have to say we were not disappointed. Everything from the room, breakfasts, garden, country views and our hosts were perfect. Added to that the places to see in the... More

Peace and tranquility and the time to relax is what we hope our guests will find here in the gardens at Drinkstone. You felt the peace so when you visit in the summer the rest should follow easily with a little more time. Do remember there is a special rate for guests who phone to book who are staying for... More

This is the third time I have stayed with Michael & Christine and this stay was just as enjoyable as the first two, I arrived on Sunday evening having had a 5 hour drive, by the time I had got out of the car Michael was out of the door to greet me and show me to my room, Christine... More

One of the best places we have stayed in both for comfort and service. Stayed there for my 50th birthday treat and had the most relaxing weekend ever. Michael and Christine were the best hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast and afternoon tea were excellent. Could not fault anything and would recommend this to anyone.

My wife and I were so fortunate to be guests at The Ambers and be in the company of Christine and Michael. The house and gardens are definitely NOT what you envisage a bed and breakfast accommodation to be and as my review header states, it is definitely a `home from home' environment with the log burner in the lounge... In all honesty Terry it is us who are fortunate! We have the good fortune to have guests like you and your good lady who are just a pleasure to be with. Home from home is exactly what we aim to provide, to be honest its not difficult we just treat our guests as we would our friends, making them... More

Stunning location. Comfortable rooms, and why can't hotels keep their rooms this clean. Nice friendly owners - smashing freshly cooked breakfast, again, definitely better than a hotel. Promising myself a repeat visit.
