We needed a room for one night due to an early morning start. The room was one of the "romantic" mews rooms. It was anything but. The metal spiral staircase was frightening to go up and down. The room was dated and badly in need of redecoration, and tiny. The meal was awful. Cold and bland. One of the deserts... More

Can't fault this hotel. Really lovely. Luke (manager) was very helpful and staff have been great. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. A lovely night here wish it was longer. Food - exceptional. Lovely surroundings too.

What a little gem this was to find. I stayed here on business just by chance but what a great choice. The hotel is warm and friendly, cosy and charming. The food.........well what can I say? It was Michelin star quality, simple as that. A truly wonderful dining experience with quality service and exceptional food. I don't know the name... More

My wife & I stayed here for a night to celebrate our anniversary on Friday 28th. We picked this hotel because we like small boutique hotels with character which accept dogs. We had a lovely time and were really impressed with all the helpful staff, the hotel had a real family vibe about it with photos of the owners family... More

On a windy, winter Friday, what better place to be than this fabulous Country House Hotel. Open fires, squishy sofas, comfortable atmosphere all made for a very enjoyable afternoon. Thanks to one of their great special offers, we decided to spoil ourselves with 3 courses from the Winter warmer menu in the restaurant. The best of British ingredients, freshly prepared... More

This wasour second Christmas lunch with Ravenwood Hall, and we felt that the standard from the first occasion had not been upheld. Some of the cutlery was missing, and even though we asked for these the service was very slow. It was quite obvious that some of the staff didn't want to be there on xmas day. Overall service was... We cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is very welcoming, lots of character with lovely rooms. We stayed for 1 night with friends (3 couples) to celebrate my birthday and could not have been more pleased. We ate in the restaurant from the Classic menu (19.95 for 3 courses) and the food was fabulous. I must say a big thank... More

What a magical find - a small country house hotel that is truly snug and lovely. We had a four poster room and it was really authentic. The staff were lovely and the menu read like a top class restaurant. The only criticism is that the chef didn't deliver the final result. The food was OK (breakfast was amazing) but... More
