The hosts were very welcoming and friendly Fantastically high quality accommodation lounge, bathroom and bedroom. The price included, tea, coffee, soaps. Very thoughtful and helpful hosts. High quality accommodation split lounge, bathroom and bedroom. All sorts of extras available, tea, coffee, soaps, sewing kits. Very thoughtful and helpful hosts. We had our daughter sleep on a camp bed (provided) in the lounge and with 2 doors to the bathroom it worked well. Breakfast was superb, fresh ingredients well cooked. Homemade jams were delicious. Really enjoyed the... More

Just got back from another stay at The Wallow, in fact, our fourth stay in four years. I'm pleased to report that the standards are as high as ever. Mike and Linda could not be more helpful or accommodating and breakfasts are just what is needed to set you up for the day. With jams and marmalades all home made,... More

Stayed here for 1 night only unfortunately when I was working in the area. Suite of rooms included a large bedroom, large bathroom and lounge area complete with TV and woodburner. All were warm and comfortable. Hosts are friendly and helpful and you can walk around their 2 acre well-stocked garden. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Full English or other... More

Thank you for such a wonderful night's stay. We've now stayed in both units of The Wallow and can recommend this B&B without reservation. The annexe is extremely comfortable with the benefit of a cosy stove in the sitting area, making a very convenient area for relaxing on cold evenings. Close the curtains, shut out the world and let the... More

We enjoyed two nights in the 3-room garden suite, which as others have said is very large, private and comfortable. The lovely setting is amongst an amazing array of plants and beautiful large trees. A short stroll revealed a nice array of bird life. Linda and Mike are very friendly and helpful hosts providing a delicious breakfast to your order... More

We stayed in a three room suite - there was a sitting room with a wood burning stove, a huge and beautiful bathroom, and a lovely comfortable bedroom which had the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time. The standard of accommodation is exceptional. Breakfast was also delightful - home made honey - and the hosts were... More

With a self contained three room suite with our own front door (and key), this is so much more than your average B&B. And the hosts are warm, friendly and genuinely interested in their guests. Great breakfasts. Excellent value. It is right on the edge of town though, so a car is advisable.

I stayed at The Wallow for several nights in Spring 2011 whilst on business in Bury St Edmunds. The Wallow is unbeatable if you are looking for a peaceful retreat close to Bury. There is complete privacy in the spacious suite of rooms and the peaceful gardens provide an ideal setting in the country, yet are only 5 minutes drive... More
