We were travelling to Bury St Edmonds & could not get a place to stay there so looked for somewhere on our way out of the town, By chance we noticed a sign for B & B about 5 miles out of town. The place was a gem, a farm cottage & a pub so close. It was in the... More

Ruth and Paul were tremendous hosts, and the accommodations were extremely comfortable and so welcoming! It truly made our three-night stay delightful to arrive back each evening. We were lucky to have the new room that they have added that had a peaceful view out into a back yard with a private door. Breakfast was delicious! AND the walk to... More

A last-minute decision to get away for the weekend led us here. Fortunately Ruth had a double room available. A warm and friendly welcome with delicious cake and home-made scones and jam from their own fruit farm. The rooms were lovely - very fresh and contemporary in decor whilst retaining the character of the old house. Fabulous crisp Egyptian cotton... More

Stayed at the B&B for 1 night and we had an thoroughly excellent time. Ruth the owner is very lovely and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and her homemade scones and chocolate cake are too die for. Breakfast is also excellent. Have recommended the place to all my friends. Can't imagine a better B&B to stay at.

Lovely B&B between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury, surrounded by orchards. Ideally situated to explore unspoilt Suffolk. The double room was airy and comfortable, enhanced by lovely old furniture. The bathroom was very well equipped with piping hot water. Great breakfast with own fresh strawberries. And the opportunity to walk around the apple and pear orchards and the fishing pond.... More

Church Farm is well located as a base for driving to the historic towns of Lavenham, Bury St. Edmunds and Sudbury. The B&B is located on the edge of the small Suffolk village, Bradfield Combust. We stayed for four nights in early Summer. Ruth was an excellent host who had prepared detailed folders about the various attractions in the area.... More

This is an outstanding B&B. The double room was delightful, the friendly welcome and generosity of the hosts made our 2-night stay a pleasure. It was our first visit to Suffolk and we couldn't have asked for more. Fresh strawberries and rasberries and the tasty cooked breakfast were great. We managed to fit in visits to nearby Lavenhham Guidhall, Kentwell... More

We stayed 4 nights in May 2012, at Church Farm in the Lavenham room. We had a very warm welcome with tea & cakes, and then took a long walk through the orchards. At first I was unsure of the main road, but we had a very quiet time and a very good sleep. The bedroom and bathroom were very... More
