Just had a lovely stay at this homely b&b, just 5mins from train station and right in the heart of bury..our room was bright and welcoming..and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this great example of what a real b&b should be!!

Small rooms but comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location excellent, 2 minute walk from town in a residential area but in a quiet road. The owners were very friendly and provided a resident parking permit. The heating was generously left on well into the night so didn't feel cold at all and there was hot water at all times. I did... Stayed in Bury St Edmunds over the weekend and had a wonderful time. We needed a short break away from the hustle and bustle of city life (and not to mention the stuffy air) and Bury was a cheap and easy, country escape! Upon arrival at the B&B, a friendly and welcoming hostess called, Mariella who I immediately warmed to,... More

We stayed here with our dog for one night. It was a self-contained annex at the bottom of the garden so very quiet and peaceful. It was lovely with the bedroom downstairs en-suite and then a sitting area upstairs. My only criticism is that you are unable to open a window in the bedroom over night. The couple running it... It does not have the most spacious rooms but that aside it is a wonderful, interesting, place. Mariella was a charming and helpful hostess (even texting me the wi fi password at one point!) and the breakfast was fab (save for the sausage which was I suspect quite expensive but not to my taste). It is right in the centre... More

We had a double room with en suite, which was incredibly colourful, and generally sufficient if a little tight on space. The place was clean, the beds were ok. The breakfast room was very cramped and the decor was questionable (trivets from all decades clutter the place) but the breakfast was ok. Dusty cereal and a mostly warm full English... More

My boyfriend and I came down to Bury St Edmunds for a family visit. We looked online for hotels/b&b's which there was many of, after looking for awhile we came across no6. It looked nice from the pictures and was greatly priced ☺. Well I cannot express how great this little gem is, the room we stayed in (double room... More

We stayed at No6 for one night as we were seeing a gig at The Apex (great little venue) Our room was cosy and quirky with a comfy bed and nice shower...Mariella is a warm and friendly host, and breakfast was very nice, served in a lovely dining room, full of character. With the centre of BSE just a 5... More

This B&B is in a fairly modest but well-lookied after Victorian terraced house in a quiet street near the centre of town. The welcome and service were great throughout our stay. The room was a fairly simple but pleasant twin with shared bathroom. It was warm, comfortable and adequately equipped and the shared bathroom was clean and modern. The house... More
