My son and I were visiting Bury for a family wedding. We have stayed in several hotels in the town previously but found the Cannon the most comfortable so far. After a short walk from the station we were warmly welcomed by the staff and were soon tucking in to a delicious supper. My son enjoyed the tasting trio of... More

Staying in a micro brewery with a great atmosphere has been wonderful and considering I'm on business has been like a mini holiday for 3 nights. My room, room 6 called "Blonde Bombshell" and named after one of the many brews from this micro brewery was great and I'd thoroughly recommend it. The beds are very comfortable and the room... More

We have been going to the Old Canon for years, although not much this year, so our first choice to take friends for lunch yesterday was easy. However, sadly, it was a rather disappointing experience. It didn't have a particularly friendly atmosphere. The garden outside looked like it needed a bit of tlc. We ordered 4 small fish and chips... More

Although this was in the centre of Bury and a lovely location that the room was significantly overpriced. The decor was pleasant, but nothing special; there was no fan in the room on a very hot Saturday night and the room and bathroom were both small. The bathroom was really quite basic to be honest and looked as though it... More

The Old Cannon is conveniently located within 10 minutes walk to the town centre. The car park, which can accommodate 7 to 8 cars, is very handy and secure as parking in the area is at a premium. The welcome and check in was prompt and friendly. We were shown to our room - a nice gesture. The room was... More

We spent a very comfortable night at the Old Cannon Brewery whilst in Bury to see my son perform in La Boheme at The Theatre Royal and were so pleased we chose this hotel! It was easy to find and very handy to be able to park free of charge at the rear and close to our ground floor room.... More

Lovely food, brilliant service, not a great selection on the menu but was a lovely lunch in a nice peaceful location :) reasonable prices and also they do smaller meals for smaller eaters. not much parking available, but not far from the town which has ample parking

We have just returned from 1 nights stay at the Old Cannon Brewery and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more helpful and courtious. The rooms are modern and named after the different ales available and there was a bottle in our room when we arrived which was a lovely... More

We stayed at the Old Cannon Brewery on the Saturday and Sunday of the May bank holiday and I must say this is one of the friendliest places I have stayed in and it is certainly on our list of favourites. Firstly the room while being quite small was well appointed (the bottle of local bitter was a nice touch).... More

We stayed in the Old Cannon Brewery as it is conveniently located for the town centre and for the Theatre Royal where we were going to see a play. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room. If I'm honest, the room was probably not as nice as I had been expecting. I thought some... More
