We stayed in room 3 which was immaculately clean and spacious, every detail of the decoration has been carefully thought out and the bathroom was large with separate bath and shower, all rooms are air conditioned and toiletries were provided even cotton wool, cotton buds, safety pins ect.we also had a fridge great to chill our bottle of champagne. My hubbie and I needed to be in Bury for a meeting and coming from the south coast we decided to have a child free break and stay overnight the night before so we were fresh for the following days meeting. We had room 6 which was pure decadence and even better than some of the boutique b&b's we have... More

Surprised at the quality and service in what is actually a pub. Rooms are in the rear of the pub with parking directly outside. Large rooms with loads of space and very comfortable beds. Bathrooms are well decorated with quality fittings. Despite being a pub the rooms are very quiet and peaceful. Used to stay at the Angel Hotel but... More

We don't usually like to stay at pub/inn type hotels, but decided to give this place a go as it had so many good reviews. From the off, we weren't disappointed. Ample parking - actually outside our room - and what a room! It was outside and at the rear of the pub and, possibly, the most pleasant room we've... More

I have eaten here several times on business and the food is always good. The decor, service and atmosphere are also good. I also like it because is isn't a chain trying to pass itself off as independant.

The 15th century originally, pub itself was comfortable although it has all been put aside for dining really and if it is a busy evening, don't know where you would sit just for a pint. The staff are all friendly and courteous. The food is standard Menu Old English Inn which we happen to like, and reasonably priced. However, this... More

We've just had a very comfortable stay in the Fox Inn. The hotel is reasonably priced and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The Hotel (Inn) is a short walk from the city centre and if you are staying we would recommend 'Graze' - a few minutes down the road - for an excellent meal. Breakfast was good (although they... Stayed here when I came in for a meeting with friends (a married couple who stayed in the amazing room 6). My room was just as beautiful, clean with excellent amenities. Loved the big bed with loads of pillows. Made for a very comfortable night and the heating was absolutely spot on! We were spoilt for choice when it came... More

I've been working in Bury for a while now, and only recently discovered the Fox. The rooms are really beautiful (by far the nicest I've stayed in in Bury) and it is very centrally located. The staff are friendly and the food is good too. If you come to visit, request room 6. It is stunning!!
