What makes this so special, apart from the food? Well you would be challenged to find better service and such a special welcome.....

Very good location just opposite the Abbey gardens and a few minutes walk from the town centre. Room was great – spacious, modern and comfortable. Bathroom was stylish with bath and separate shower. All very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were freshly cooked and were well worth the short wait.

Four of us went for a late Sunday lunch, the food and service was very good apart from the fish pie which had been microwaved until it was red hot! The Fox has a jazz band every Sunday evening, the music was excellent! Well worth a visit

A very thoughtful barn conversion that makes rustic features a benefit. I stayed in room 4 which has been very well adpated for wheel chair users and is still comfortable for the able bodied to use. This review should be read in context: we paid 160 pounds a night for the Hayloft (Room 6) because it was premium priced for Christmas.
