Very laid back and friendly - felt as if were staying with family. Would agree with previous posts.Highly recommended - will certainly stay again.

Clean, welcoming and a very good breakfast. I would definitely recommend a stay at The Glen. Its perfectly located for exploring Bury St Edmunds and the couple that run the B&B are a delight. Thank you for looking after us. Bob & Andrea.

The Glen is a 10 minute walk from the centre of the town, which makes it conveniently placed. Added to this is the car park for your use while staying which we found to be a real bonus. Our room was large with plenty of storage space. Our bathroom was also large but could have benefitted by having a shelf... More

We stayed a week this summer in a period twin room, complete with fireplace and view out onto the garden. Neil and Sheila, the hosts, are just lovely - they made us feel very welcome, joked with us and showed great patience and humour when faced with our (well, mine, really ;)) partiality for their pets Edmund and Jessie. The... More

I stayed for 2 nights (16th & 17th August). A lovely place, I will definitely be staying here again. Neil and Sheila made me feel very welcome, a real home from home...and Edmund the dog is adorable!

We stayed in the family room for one night. Sheila and Neil made us feel very welcome and we had plenty of space for the 4 of us. My teenage son was soon making use of the free wi;fi connection! Everywhere was clean and tidy, and the view across the garden very pretty. The breakfast was great with a good choice... More

Bury St Edmunds is a lovely place, with plenty to see and do. The Glen ticks all the boxes. Friendly, helpful , pretty central, clean, good facilities and breakfast. We could not fault it, and recommend it.

We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend here staying in the suite upstairs which was spacious with plenty of storage. The hosts were welcoming and kindly accommodated a request for an early breakfast on one of the days. Hot water was readily available and the room itself was comfortably warm. Breakfast was delicious in a well furnished and homely dining room.... More

We had a pleasant stay of one night at the Glen, clean, quiet and very good breakfast, friendly and welcoming hosts. Easy access and parking and a simple 15 mins walk into town. Had a very good and reasonably priced meal at The Old Cannon Brewery, with their own excellent beer (brewed on site). We would certainly wish to stay... More

Booked 2 double rooms for 3 nights with husband (and in-laws were in another double) from 27 - 30 Nov 2008. The booking was done by email correspondence back in July as we'd never been to Bury St Edmunds before, so were wanting to visit during the Christmas Markets (which were also excellent). We arrived on the Thursday at 3.30pm... More
