We only stayed one night but enjoyed it. Unfortunately the Pub was going through a refurb when we visited so perhaps didn't see it at it's best. Nonetheless we enjoyed the night. The room was basic but comfortable, but mattress on the double bed seemed an odd shape, We kept rolling towards the edge. The breakfast cooked by Sue was... More

We love this place and are always happy to go back. The location is fantastic, the inn cosy and welcoming, and the landlords friendly and serving up a great suffolk breakfast.

Stayed at the mill inn for my 50th birthday weekend break. The actual sleeping area was basic, none of the bedrooms were on-suite.maybe it was becoz they were to about to take on a re-furbisment.The rest of the stay was really enjoyable. The staff were really friendly & accomadating,& the breakfast was plentiful. The bar menu although not extensive, the food was really good.Had a... We only stayed for one night but we really enjoyed our stay. Friendly pub, good food and very dog friendly! Location is superb, in one direction you have Aldeburgh with its shops and pubs and in the other direction long (dog friendly) stretch of beach which offers a lovely walk to another nice town of Thorpeness. Room was nice, price... More

Situated directly across from the 400 year old Moot Hall in Market Cross Place, The Mill Inn is part pub, part inn, part restaurant, and serves very good food too, thanks very much. The publicans, Dennis and Sue Peel, have owned The Mill just since 2004, but you'd think they'd been born and bred in Aldeburgh, they fit in so... More

Like many others who have submitted reviews on The Mill, I agree that accommodation at The Mill needs some TLC but, if you are on your own and it's only for a night or two then you can't beat it if a taste of what Aldeburgh once was, is what you are looking for. I've stayed here several times when... More

Having stayed at the mill inn with my husband a year ago we decided a revisit was in order for our anniversary. After staying in the two main hotels in the town (White lion & brudenell) over the years that we have visited aldeburgh we became disappointed with the high price and low satisfaction both impersonal and highly over priced.... We stayed here for a long weekend in April. When we booked we were told there were no en-suit facilities in the bedrooms, but there were two bathrooms just down the corridor. This did not bother us. When we were shown to our room we were very disappointed. The room was clean, but gave the impression of being dirty. It... More

Hi, The rooms may need a little TLC, but not much. Our visiters book is full of positive comments and if you look on This Trip Adviser Web site you will that we also have many possitive comments, as on many others web sites. The cost of our accomodation reflects the lack of private facilties. If this person had tried... More

We were looking for somewhere to stay with the dog as we were down for a family funeral. The inn is situated on the beach front with ample parking outside with easy access to the seafront. We found both ourselves and the dog was welcomed (a german shepherd) and they arranged for us to eat breakfast in the bar area... More

Let’s get the downside bit over with first! This is a very old building where it would be difficult to alter the structure of the guest accommodation comprising four bedrooms and the two bathrooms across the corridor. We were warned that there were no en-suites when we booked. The bedrooms and bathrooms appeared to be in a 1970s time warp;... More
