This was our second visit this year and again we were not disappointed . Situated right on the beach we took advantage of the late summer sun and sat outside for coffee and snacks on our arrival. After a long walk along the seafront we were ready for our evening meal in the hotels Seafood Restaurant, again the food was... More

Having ordered a luxury English tea, we received two scones, some cream and some jam. Whilst I was willing to clean the greasy knife myself, I had to ask the waitress to replace the dirty cup. Also, how are you supposed to eat scvones with just a knife? The room was very hot and the seaview marred by the window... More

We ate Sunday Lunch in the restaurant although the food was very good but the attendant service was of a low standard with an extended wait from the time our order was taken until the starters were served. Also the staff who were very polite but did not appear to be trained at waiting at a table.

We just the the most amazing few days here, not our first. Things to be commended. The staff, all so helpful and courteous, nothing is to much trouble. The menue and wine list, varied, beautifully served and each choice a gem, not easily better anywhere. The atmosphere and location go without saying as being unique. Looking forward to making this... Modern hotel at far end of the beach, five minutes from the village centre and directly across the road from Aldeburgh's shingle beach. It's done in a modern airy beachy sort of style that is actually a bit bland and corporate feeling in the public rooms (restaurant, lobby etc.). It's also showing the signs of a good summer season with... More

As a couple of old romantics, we chose to spend Valentine’s weekend in the Brudenell Hotel and my goodness... what a night to remember for all sorts of reasons! The weather was exceptionally foul with hurricane force winds out to sea. The roads and bridges closed behind us as we drove north, the waves crashed over the beach. The winds... More

A fairly pleasant hotel if you enjoy being constantly disturbed by the sound of a turbine/extractor fan on the roof...it stopped around eleven but drowned out the sound of the sea for us which was a massive shame. I hope this is sorted soon as it destroyed what we hoped was going to be a pleasant stay.

Wandered down to the brudenell last night for a last minute dinner and I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant it's self is sea facing; very nearly on the beach in fact! An awesome location for fresh Suffolk seafood. Started with the lane farm charcuterie and then the aldeburgh skate wing, the skate was enormous and perfectly cooked, I wouldn't hesitate in... More

We visited Aldeburgh on the last Sunday, via the Dolphin in Thorpeness where the food service had been speedy. At the Brudenell around 4 pm we had stopped for a tea or coffee after a stroll along the front. The area in front of the hotel had a few people enjoying the view from underneath the heaters. We sat at a... More
