Dunan House made an ideal base for exploring Aldeburgh and visiting family nearby. It is located less then 10 minutes walk from the town. For those venturing out after dark, torches were available to borrow. The room was light, airy, clean and stylishly decorated. Style didn't outweigh comfort, though, and nice touches like the digital radio and trivia/quiz games added... More

My Boyfriend and I have just experienced a most relaxing stay, which we wish could have been for longer. We really enjoyed every aspect, accommodation, food, local facilities (especially the charming and talented hosts!) and despite being encouraged to give critical comment, being in the same line of business, I can honestly say we could find nothing to fault. We... More

A lovely house in great location with lots of character and very welcoming hosts. Our room had double aspect with a great ambiance. The owners were considerate and good humoured offering great recommendations for pubs, walks and places to visit. They made great breakfasts and we sat around long table with other guests. We certainly highly recommend and will return.

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst visiting the lovely town of Aldeburgh. Dunan House is located on a quiet private road as has plenty of parking. Whilst away from the town centre it is only a 10 min walk to the beach and town centre. The house is lovely and our room was spacious and light.... More

Very disappointed. The place is quiet indeed but we were treated in a very patronising manner. When we left we were asked for more money that was not in the orginal booking such as more money for a Friday stay, charge for a change of towels (we stayed 4 nights so it was necessary to have at least once a... Things did not look good from the start when we said we did not have a microwave to sterilise baby bottles. Though baby seemed unconcerned, and continued to smile happily, there was no disguising the parental incredulity and alarm. Subsequent bottle boiling involved an invasion of our kitchen while we were trying to clear up after breakfast. (we are not... More

We stayed several nights in August 2014. The house is on a quiet road (apart from blasted wood pigeons/collared doves which you get everywhere in England!) and is less than 10 minutes' walk into the centre of the town. Dunan House is clean, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are sunny - extra electric radiators for Winter. Unlike some... More

When i think of B&Bs i generally think of a small space you use to sleep in and then you are out for the entire day as the room is too cramped for living. Not so with Dunan house, we had the top room which was more like an apartment really, a large bedroom, and sitting room and a large... More

My family and I spent the Friday and Saturday just gone at Dunan House and had a great time. Simon and Ann are great hosts and the house is lovely - Both my children loved the colours! It is very handy for Aldeburgh and the family room was very comfortable and perfect for a young family. We will be back... More

We spent a weekend in Aldeburgh last month. The weather was a shade bracing, the night sky breathtaking. And we couldn't have found a more congenial, delightful, amusing place to stay than Dunan House. Simon and Ann, whose striking pictures and beautiful pottery add much to the experience, have created an atmosphere of gentle, colourful calm. Great breakfast, courtesy of... More
