Frequently stay in Travelodges but this place needs police attention & then demolishing! The smell of illegal drugs in the corridor & room was overwhelming. After checking in, I checked out & drove 120 miles home, resulting in a 17 hour day…better that than feel frightened in this place. Complained to staff who did nothing than offer another room…the whole... More

It is very basic like all Travelodge's but the staff are very friendly and the location is great. It was also clean which is all you want. The Hotel is very easy to get to and considering on a road the traffic is not a problem. The only problem was the road works but nothing to do with the Hotel.

Only find out after booking this motel was awaiting modernisation . It was in desperate need may I say! Service on the reception was very slow and she looked like she had just fell out of bed, very poor presentation. She didn't even know if my room had been fully cleaned !! The corridors smell and are very tired with... More

This hotel is a definite improvement on the Travelodge I stayed in whilst in London. It is clean and tidy. Our room was large (it looked as though it was originally a family room). The room was very basic (as are most Travelodge Hotels), if it had more than one chair (and more comfortable), a small table, some pictures on... More

I had booked in at the Hartlepool Travelodge two weeks before my stay. I had stayed there before and needed to be in Hartlepool the next day for business meeting. After a 3 hour journey I arrived at Hartlepool at 10pm to be fobbed off with a story that my room had an electrical fault and there was no room... More

Stayed for one night following a wedding as there was no vacancies elsewhere. Behind reception is clearly used as a staff canteen area, so greetings are not the most pleasant at check-in but then if you compare that to what you find once checked in, it's probably the best feature. The room was on the top floor at the front... More

Supposedly staying here for 7 nights due to my working in the area but checked out after 4 nights as I could stand no more - I was put in a disabled room with two horrible single beds that were very uncomfortable and made me itch a lot !!!!! They never got made in all 4 days I was there.... More

Stayed here for one night , having never stayed in a travel lodge before was very suprised of the quality of the room for the meagre price of £29 .... tv, tea and coffee making facillities, lovely comfortable king size bed .... can fault it at all, can't really comment on staff as we didnt check in till late in... Stayed with my partner and our three young daughters after a local wedding reception at Hardwick Hall. In the morning we discovered general rubbish under the bed and - honestly - pubic hair in the shower; both from previous occupants.
