We stay here a couple times a year visiting family and we have seen a vast improvment in customer sevice and the £3 a night car park charge removed, however the mattresses are well past there best. they have a huge dip in the middle which cause's my wife and I to keep rolling into each other through the night... more

We booked here for a two night stay to visit Alton Towers in half term. It was very cheap, but boy do you get what you pay for! The bedding provided for the childrens beds was clearly used, one stained with what I hope was chocolate. The boiler was broken but guests were being checked in and not warned, the... more

Overall the stay was ok, the room was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. However, I was very upset to find the car park was pay & display! This is the only hotel I have ever seen with parking meters in its own car park, and even worse I was not told before I arrived. The cost of... more

Booked a one night stay in a family room for myself, husband and my teenage step daughter as we were going to Alton Towers the following day. Wasn't too sure how it would be as it only cost 19 pounds for the room (for all 3 of us) via the hotel's website Supersaver discount offer. It was fantastic ! I... more

This hotel looks great on th net - easy to find, quiet area, but what a disappointment! The reception staff barely spoke, the corridors smelt of damp, the room did not have a chain and could not be double locked from the inside, the bathroom had a mouldy ceiling, towels hard, sofa bed was covered in dust, mattress was soft... more

Stopped at the Travelodge - Stoke - Talke for 2 nights in May 2008. Main reason was to stop over for our son to visit Alton Towers. Upon arrival reception was VERY old and in need of some serious renovation works. Reception staffs were fine and we were quickly allocated a room - Ground Floor. Upon arrival in the room... more

I booked to stay twice in one week, first as I was travelling south on the M6, second, later in the week, to take my kids to Alton Towers. It's not good for an M6 stop-over as it's ca. 20 minutes from the motorway and there were big queues getting back on the following morning. For Alton Towers it's OK... more
