Friends and I came across this pub last Sunday and because we were in need of food at lunch time, we stepped inside! I know that we could have walked out at this point, but we didn't and decided to give it a try. It's a modern building but the inside is begining to get a bit shabby; dining is... More

Stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for a trip to Alton Towers. The hotel is currently under refurbishment but was good enough for our trip. The room was large considering what we had paid for it and was in a great location with a McDonalds and Tesco close by. We didn't hear any noise from the bar attached and... More

Stayed here for one night before going to Alton Towers. It is currently under refurbishment and is going to be a Best Western so only rooms on the ground floor are available. The room was basic, spacious but comfortable, it is in need of refurbishment but is obviously a work in progress. Had a good nights sleep here and it... More

We stayed here after visiting alton towers with a toddler in tow, the staff are all very polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant within the hotel served lovely food at a reasonable price. The room was big enough for the 3 of us, needed a bit of paint and updating but was clean... More

Stayed here last week for 1 night, found the staff excellent, friendly and helpful. Thought the room was a little tired and maybe lacked a lick of paint. However it was large enough with everything you would expect. Had a meal in the restaurant on Friday and thought it was well cooked, presented nice and there was plenty of it.... More

We have stayed here 3 time in total as we were visiting Alton Towers, we were pleasantly surprised with the location, a lovely restaurant within the hotel a McDonald's across the car park and a Tesco across the road, staff seem overworked, as it takes them a while to respond to you. We only stopped staying at this hotel because... More

Well this is the 2nd time I have stayed in this hotel now following a trip to Alton Towers. Located only a 30minute drive from the park, its a perfect lodge to rest for the night. Check in took less than 5 minutes. The room had a TV, sofa, En-suite, Tea/Coffee facility and a considerably comfy bed! There is a... More

Comfortable bed, torn bed linen, worn furniture, stained sink, not the cleanest of hotels. First night of stay was fairly quiet but second night spent with creaky floorboards from the room above and noise from the carpark and from macdonalds drive through directly opposite. Staff always friendly and polite but obviously over worked running 2 bars and restaurant and also... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the Weathervane and I would go as far as to say this establishment is actually better than chains like the Premier Inn who charge double per night. Room was clean and the bed incredibly comfortable, hot water, plenty of space, for £49 per night I wasn't expecting much. The fact tea and coffee making facilities... More

when we arrived which was early they let us book into another room that was already prepared, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, we ate in the adjoining restaurant which was tasty and not expensive, all the staff were friendly enough and made you feel welcome.just a note dont follow the AA route planner or else you will end...
