After driving 5 hours I was not impressed that there was no room for myself and my husband. At 9pm it was difficult to find anywhere else. The Manager didn't apologise at the time and phoned someone to tell them off for opening the late rooms up again! At no point was customer service a priority. An offer of a... More

I was looking for somewhere to sleep and have a drink. The booking was easy, staff ultra friendly, breakfast was what I needed (cooked and very tasty). The rooms are old but comfy, everything worked and I slept very well. Would I stop there again... I am at the end of the month.

Arrived outside the accommodation to what looked like a closed for business restraunt..but tried to keep an open mind. Went inside to book in.. no one around, took their time to show face. Mid aged woman acted as if everything was hard work and a hassle.. all I wanted was the room key. Didn't use the restaurant for tea but... More

Firstly, I should say that I am a contractor, so I wasn't looking for perfection for a special romantic night or anything, just a meal, 2 or 3 beers, and a comfy bed, and this place hits the spot. The hosts, Paul and Russell, are friendly and welcoming and, most importantly of all, the rooms are fine. Not five star... More

Booked as close to Alton Towers... Really wish we had read the reviews first. Mattresses terrible, very thin and one thin cheap pillow. Mildew on bed cover Food in restaurant was very basic, low quality, ice cream was like mozzarella cheese, fish was a breaded frozen piece (mum had gone to Iceland), advertised a selection of wines and when asked... I will start of by saying that we paid £99 for 2 nights stay for 2 adults and 2 children. It's very cheap. And I have to add that this was during bank holiday weekend. We were looking for somewhere to sleep for two nights. The reviews were not great and to be honest at the time of booking the... More

Having read the many negative views on the day of travel last week, I wasn't looking forward to staying here. I regularly stay at the hilton and Grand at Brighton, and my last night away was in a 5* penthouse and I can honestly say we had a very enjoyable and comfortable two night stay here for Alton Towers. The... More
