I had a one night stay here on business (it had been recommended - someone’s standards are not very high! My room was like a sauna, no air con and no breeze. My room was on the third floor and looking out of the window seemed to be one side of a square to other sections of the hotel so... more

Stayed here for one night this month in a room that overlooks the front carpark. It was extremely hot in the room as it faces the sun all day. There is no air-con to cool it down but even with the two small windows open, it was still unbearably hot. Also, the road outside is very busy and noisy as... more

I visited here on a trip with a large group and I would never return! When we arrived we were quickly given our rooms. The rooms were dirty and the walls were like paper. Two of us were made to sleep on uncomfortable pull out beds with sheets with stains and dirt on them. The restaurant was disgusting! For breakfast,... more

Was very pleased with this hotel. It was fresh and clean with a bright lounge, bar and reception area. Our room was again fresh and clean. There was a fridge, television, hairdryer, tea & coffee, and a wonderful jetstream bath. We used the indoor pool, sauna and steam room. We did not use the jacuzzi however as it looked dirty.... more

Just came back from the hotel after visiting Alton Towers. The hotel is situated about 15 miles from Alton so a good place to stay. Got my FAMILY room for £75 inc breakfast . Upon arrival Reception was polite and dealt with us quickly and booked us a table to eat at the hotel later. Room was more than adequate.... more

The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, but everything seemed very tired and dated. The whole place could do with a makeover. The shower in our room was appauling, on the first day we had a very weak shower, the second day nothing more than a trickle. Credit to the staff they did offer us the key to another room,... more

FIrst the good points: The family room was nice, clean and spacious although in common with the landing areas, very warm, which is surprising as it wasn't that hot for the time of year. I wouldn't go in warm weather as there is no aircon in the room. The pool/ sauna/gym were really nice and an enjoyable relaxation. Very good... more

I am a supposedly-fussy American and I have no complaints at all! Stayed for 2 nights with a group of friends and had a single room ensuite. Only noise was occasionally from the hallway but that happens in all hotels. No view from window but that too is commonplace! What are all these people complaining about? The entire hotel seemed... more

Ok, so this is not a 5 star hotel but I'm really picky and fussy about hotels and I actually thought it was pretty decent. I was expecting a real dive, given the reviews on here (it was a works outing so I didn't have any say so about where we stayed) but it was more then adequate. The staff... more
