We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Stoke as we were visiting Alton Towers, but our 'usual' hotel, the Premier Inn Uttoxeter, had raised its prices above what we were willing to pay. Initially I was concerned that Stoke may be further than i wanted to travel, but 35 mins gets you into Alton Towers from here, so not bad really.... More

Not a bad place to stop. Only let down was the breakfast. I thought it was an English breakfast! then I soon found out it was only 3 hot items.... beans, sausage and scrambled egg. The Beans were ok. The sausage were the poor quality ones I cannot eat. and the egg looked as if it had been there for... More

This hotel is situated a couple of minutes walk from Stoke's Britannia stadium so would be perfect for any travellers looking to stay over and catch a match. We were there for Alton Towers and the drive from this Holiday Inn isn't too bad, don't remember exactly but I think it was around 45mins. There's plenty of free parking outside... More

Reasonably priced modern hotel which included an excellent buffet breakfast. Near Stoke football ground and A50, so do not expect any views but staff were friendly, room quiet, an excellent inexpensive Harvester across the car park for evening meal (full of locals which is always a good sign - go early, it gets very busy). Would definitely recommend this hotel... More

Its a Holiday Inn - what do you expect. I assume all Express outlets dont have restaurants. There is a Harvester nearby, but thats it. and unless you want burger or ribs - thats about it. Free wireless in the main foyet / bar area. but not free in your rooms - dont understand the logic, other than add-ons... breakfast... More

This modern hotel on an industrial area opposite a major football stadium is fine if your just staying one night , The rooms are small but well furnished But only has a shower and no bath –which is fine if the shower is a good one. The one in our room kept fluctuating between hot and cold . It offers... More

Stayed here during a two day visit to Alton Towers (approx 30 mins drive). Good basic hotel with decent size, clean rooms. Excellent all you can eat breakfast in the busy cafe (would recommend getting down before 8:30 to guarantee a table. Staff friendly and helpful, plenty of parking and a Harvester pub located next door. Would definitely recommend for... More

I love to stay in the Red Sea, waking up on a beautiful clear warm morning, looking across to Tiran Island. I have stayed in the Maldives, getting up in the morning and stepping out of my beach hut and immediately being on an amazing beach. But, genuinely, nothing beats staying in this hotel right next to the Britanna Stadium.... More
