Very comfortable characterful on hotel, room immaculate, first class Wifi, friendly staff , good brakfast. Old coaching house which appears to have been recenty refurbished. Town centre location,Good secure parking though maybe difficult to find first time. Would be a good place to stay for more than one night, .

Dinner with friend celebrating end of exams! Delicious food from the bar menu with a great choice of gluten free options! Just ask the staff for their allergy menu. If you can't see something you would like they will always ask the chef for some ideas! Nothing too much trouble!

This s a very well situated hotel with plenty of its own amenities and surrounded by the town market. Lots of interesting and ancient buildings - St Chad's Church and the Elizabethan High House to name but two. The restaurant, used fro dinner and breakfast stands in its own right as worth a visit. The hotel sent back an object... More

We had an excellent lunch with friends here a couple of weeks ago so decided to drop in for an early dinner with our daughter. The location is great and sitting in the garden was great. However our daughters chicken was as tough as old boots and at no time did a member of staff ask if the food was... More

A bit overpriced hotel but otherwise well located with a good parking place. What was very good : within walking distance by my places of interest and Hospital. Very nice breakfast and frindly staff. Fantastic playground area nearby and adventure park. What was awful : The pub that is co-located inside this central downtown hotel and the unpleasant urine fragrance... More

Well stayed at the swan couple of weeks ago, when booking in they told me they only had a small double room. Which I booked as I would like any hotel to be up front about their rooms. Must say when I opened the door, if that was a small room then I would hate to think what the size... More

Sorry this is so late but thought I had already reviewed the swan hotel on my second visit. Another great stay at this hotel made even better by the friendly staff. This hotel is very close to the Gatehouse theatre in fact it's only about a 5 minute walk away which we visited whilst staying in Stafford . The Swan... More

Stayed for one night here, whilst on a visit to see a show at the Gatehouse Theatre. The hotel is situated in the very centre of town, so is well placed for most things you may need whilst staying away. The car park at the park is small, but easily accessible by the one way system, and seemed to be... More

Arrived at The Swan Hotel, sadly later than expected, wonderfully warm reception from Hannah who filled us in on all necessary details, thorough and swift. Bedroom large, wonderfully warm which was greatly appreciated after just landing from 36deg in Asia, hence delayed check in. Beautiful white linen, fantastic view from floor 2, and the towels put the Dorchester to shame. Managed to squeeze a bottle in... More

We stayed at The Swan for 1 night. The parking for the Hotel is a little difficult to find, although the city core is a maze of 1 way streets and pedestrian-only walking zones. Despite booking the room months before and requesting a quiet room, we were surprised to be assigned one next to the lift which announced the floors... More
