We have lived in the general area for over 30 years but never visited The Swan. However we were invited by friends to dine there one evening with them. On arrival parking in the rear can be a bit of a problem but we got it sorted. We were greeted by the staff & taken to our table. The service... More

Have been here a few times now and each time the cocktails are the best. The vesper martini is to die for and there is so much choice. There is a great range of bar food and plenty of places to sit. We will be back again and again.

Stayed here some time ago with my husband. The hotel was lovely and the food was beautiful. We booked a room that included a 3 course meal which we could not fault. Hotel is in a brilliant location with a little car park to the rear. Would definitely stay again

Good hotel, nice clean room, very helpful and polite staff, great breakfast! Great to be in the town centre. Good bar food at reasonable price. Rather expensive but would rather pay more for good service

Two of us stayed here on a Saturday night, expecting a classic olde English coaching inn / hotel. It is not. One of the selling points is the bistro. This was fully booked with no tables until after 9pm: surely any hotel with a touch of class ensures it's guests can have a table or are warned booking is necessary?... More

Dear Andy B Thank you for reviewing your recent visit to the The Swan Hotel, Stafford. I was disappointed to read your comments, and apologies that on this occasion our usual high standards did not meet your expectations. The Swan Hotel is an 18th Century former coaching inn, and has been a part of Stafford's history for over 300 years.... More

I stayed for one night in February as part of a business trip to Stafford. The hotel is located in the centre of Stafford and is about a 15 minute walk from the rail station. I had a very spacious room with all the facilities I needed for an overnight stay. The breakfast was very good. I will return.

We stayed at the swan for the first time last weekend and found the stay very comfortable with such a warm welcome. The hotel is full of quirky decorations in keeping with the history. The food was delightful and not too badly priced. The breakfast has a great selection and we came away very happy. We would definitely stay again... More

I recently stayed at The Swan in Stafford. This is my 2nd visit here and will be going again. Rooms are spacious and have all facilities required. It is in a prime location in town and was perfectly situated for my requirements. We had breakfast and there was plenty of choice. Only slight downside is because it is in the... More

If you want somewhere on the posh side in Stafford then The Swan is a great place to visit. There's a snack menu with sandwiches and baked potatoes (which have recently gone up in price!) in the bar and 'corridor'. Prices aren't cheap but service is lovely and you get what you pay for as the saying goes. Two baked... More

I stayed here with my friend from 28th Feb until 2nd March 2015, and we had a very enjoyable stay. We booked 2 double rooms for 1 person, and paid same price for each. Although, I think my friend may have been given a larger double room for 2 people as her room was bigger with a full length mirror... More
