Stayed one night as part of a wedding party. Had read the reviews regarding noise and if you are on the front - yes it's very, very noisy. Room was ok once you got used to the sloping floor (olde worlde charm). Very modern interior and bit like the tardis - bigger than you would think. Car park very small... More

My wife and I stopped here one night on the way to the golf Open. Had a bit of a problem finding the car park. AAroute put you to the front door on a pedestrian precinct, but helpful locals guided us. We .had a large old room overlooking Castlegate, but had no trouble with noise, the double glazing working. The... More

having only stayed 1 night bed and break fast i have yet to experience enough (dinner etc) to rate it as excellent. i would have liked to have stayed in the old part of the building but sometimes these things are a blessing in disguise... the new part was clean, tidy, very spacious - which was probably wasted on me... Stayed here for one night mid week. I like the layout of the hotel, and its very nicely decorated. Quite noisy from the church bells otherwise a very peaceful nights sleep. Room was very cosy and cean. Mixed reviews on the staff, Very impressed with a lady named Theresa, she was really helpful and pleasent. Some of the other staff... More

Really pleased with the stay at the Swan. Great central location, comfy beds, clean rooms and plenty of space in the rooms. Excellent staff in all areas of the hotel and who were willing and eager to help where possible. Plus free WiFi as well. Points to watch - the car park isn't huge and as the restaurant is popular... We stayed here as a friend of ours was getting married and was staying a this hotel. We absolutely loved out stay, the room was spacious and very comfortable. Stayed here for a 3 night break in Stafford. Loads of positives about this hotel. Friendly staff, nice room, the fluffiest hotel towels ever and the food in the brasserie was good. Location was excellent. Unfortunately we had room 111, on the first floor. The noise from the downstairs brasserie and bar was horrendous. We ate in the brasserie, the... More

We stayed at the Swan hotel on June 21st in order to attend a family christening. Never having been to Stafford before we arrived on Saturday at 10.15am & although we knew we could not check in before 2pm, we parked in the car park & called at reception to tell them we had left the car. The staff were... More

I really wanted to give this hotel 5 out of 5. The Staff were wonderful, food very good, room above average, it has its own car park. The reason it only gets an "average" is at 5.30am the bin lorry arrived and from then on lorries, road sweepers etc were up and down the pedestrian walkway outside the front of... More

Stayed here recently for two nights. Was easy to park at the hotel, check-in was fast and easy, and the room (303) comfortable and a good size. The whole hotel is absolutely spotless, and considering it's so busy, the staff really are very efficient. The food is always good here, whether it's just a snack in the coffee shop, a... More
