My wife and I were in Stafford for a evening event and found this hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the room we stayed in was very well finished, and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was of a high standard and beautifully presented, also breakfast was great. We will definitely be back soon

We stayed after a friends wedding, the parking was right on sight which was great. Staff were nice & welcoming room was clean but not much for the price. It was summer when we stayed but there was no air con & had a tiny window so very uncomfortable to sleep! In the morning we were woken up early to... More

We stayed for 2 nights, Friday & Saturday. Our stay was very pleasant. We arrived at about 18.45 on the Friday and were efficiently checked in. Being hungry, we asked whether it was a problem for our 19:30 table reservation to be brought forward. The helpful staff encouraged us to do because there was a large party of people coming... More

Stayed here on route North after visiting an event at Birmingham NEC. Thanks to Trip advisor, what a find! Accommodation was reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. Evening meal again reasonably priced, great service and delicious food. Lively atmosphere, cocktails at the bar afterwards. There's also a coffee shop attached to the premises, free parking, town centre location. Our bill for... More

We booked just for one night, but everything was great. Couldn't remember how to find the car park, it isn't easy! Was a really warm day so the room was hot as the window quite small, but fan was provided and you're hardly in the room at all anyway. The thing that makes this place is the staff. Very friendly,... A great little town center hotel with charming staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. A large and comfortable room at the front with bags of space. We only ate breakfast but is was first rate with a cold table to serve oneself and then the customary hearty Staffordshire fry up. First rate

This is a fantastic hotel. It is an old historic coaching Inn that has been sensitively modernised to the highest standards. The rooms are large, well furnished with old beams and fireplaces still on display. There was a welcoming tea, coffee and biscuit pack, and a cuddly toy. The old stables have been transformed into the bar, which has a... More

Paid extra for a large suite room with a double bed and air conditioning, only to find that on arrival the 'double bed' was just two single beds pushed together. The door lock was also broken. On explaining the issues to staff they offered to swap me to a room with no air conditioning without a price reduction and told... More
