If you are looking for a relaxing break visit this hotel. We stayed on second floor at the rear of the hotel, room spacious, very quiet with comfortable bed and views over the countryside. Staff can't do enough to help you. Beautiful entrance hall, open fires and interesting history. Set in it's own grounds with deer roaming in the park.... More

Lovely building, nice grounds, amazing service and ambience and great food.We booked through a special deal and it was special. From reception to waiting staff the service was impeccable without being over fussy. The history of the place is fascinating and the staff actually seem proud to be a part of the organisation.

We visited Swinfen Hall for an evening meal. All four of use were impressed by the general ambience and the wine. The food, on the other hand, was awful. The starters and mains were particularly disappointing. Three out of the four of us couldn't finish our starters or mains because they were that bad. One of the starters consisted of... More

Elegant entrance hall with open fire, galleried to bedrooms above, with stain glass windows & oak panelling. Large room with comfy bed & views across the countryside. Very good quality breakfast,... Swinfen Hall Hotel is a truly amazing place. It combines elegant historic charm in the various restaurants, bars and tea rooms with outstanding modern luxury in the rooms. The only downside is the lack of a swimming pool (if they had one it would be beyond amazing) The staff are second to none, Stuart was first class in his approach... More

My double room was clean and well furnished although the decor was a little tired. The best and most towels you could wish for. The breakfast was excellent, the staff very attentive. Would certainly be happy to return.

My wife and I discovered Swinfen hall earlier this year when we had one of the best Sunday lunches we have ever had. We immediately booked for the Valentines night tasting menu and found the whole experience most enjoyable. Service, food, presentation and quality of cooking and wines were spot on. For the last 40 or so years we have... More
