I recently Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Lichfield and from the moment I checked in to I checked out the staff was so friendly and could not do enough to ensure my stay was plesant. The breakfast is what you would expect from the Express brand but the selection was good and again the staff was excellent - they... more

Nothing excpetional here. Standard Holiday Inn Express rooms, which are usually good. Free continental breakfast, again good. One or two things were not replaced immediately when they ran out at breakfast, but generally things seemed reasonably well organised. Had a meal one evening in the "Frankies and Bennys" restaurant across the car park, which was perfectly adequate. Easy access to... more

Stayed here on business aand was amazed to find I could bag a room on a weekday night for just £49 plus 1000 bonus Holiday Inn Priority Club points as well. The hotel is located close to the M6 Toll road and the A38 (about 15 miles into Birmingham) on a leisure park comprising a gym, a grill restaurant and... more

The hotel was ideally situated for Drayton Manor Theme Park. We booked a family room for 4 for 2 nights. The total cost was £109 including continental breakfast. The hotel was clean and modern, the room was very impressive with everything we needed including a power shower, it looked like it had been recently refurbished. The breakfast was self service... more

Booking in was like dealing with a machine no smile or hello, just name, sign there, your room number is and then you see them go back into the office. You have to guess which way to go to your room. The room was clean and up to the usual standard. If you want a drink the bar does not... more

Stayed at this hotel as a play and stay theme park break. Great staff, really clean rooms, the rooms were a great size. The hotel is in a ideal location for Drayton Manor, also very close to city centre so eating out is not a problem. There is a macdonalds on site also. Overall great stay, breakfast basic, but great... more

Hotel is easy to find and of the usual Express standard. I was due to stay 2 nights, and had confirmation of this from my booking agency , but the hotel only had me down for 1 night. Luckily they had capacity to change my booking without a problem. Now if you don't fancy a Macdonalds the hotel does a... more

One of the most expensive Holiday Inn Expresses you'll find outside London (£72.50 per night). Nowhere to eat nearby, unless you fancy the McDonalds next door (I didn't). It's on a major road intersection so access is good, however it's miles from anywhere I wanted to be. Room was standard HI Express, so no surprises. Breakfast same as every other... more

I booked this hotel through my travel agent at work, at the time the travel agent made clear in the booking that I would be arriving late. On the morning of my stay I also rang the hotel to inform them that I would be arriving late (after mid night) and wanted to check it wouldn't be a problem, the... more

Hotel room was clean and spacious. The only complaint I have is that there was no bath only a shower. View was not fantastic - though location was really good. If you need a cheap night somewhere near Birmingham I would recommend it. more
