Really excellent couple of days here in a place with a bit of character. Fantastic breakfasts, proper bacon and sausages, nothing too much trouble. Johann very knowledgeable and helpful about Lichfield and its history. Most comfortable bed ever in a beautifully decorated and furnished room, opening out onto a little patio. Upmarket establishment, and outstanding value for money.

We stayed here for a birthday weekend celebration in what turned out to be very cold and ultimately snowy weather. I really enjoyed staying at St John's House. The room was really comfortable with a nice firm bed. The breakfast was the best I've ever had - with homemade sausages and amazing bacon. Johan evidently really enjoys running St John's House and puts effort into making it really wonderful.
