As I was assured there would be parking, I turned into the entrance and noticed cars parked on the side. Thinking that this was simply just the way into the actual parking area, I slowly manoeuvred my car around avoiding (only just) the other cars. I quickly realised that what I was driving into was in fact 'the' car park... More

As it was a Glastonbury Festival weekend, I was charged £140 per night - 'fair enough' I thought. Also, as it's Two Star, expectations were not high. However, what I got was a horrible room with damp above the bed, above the shower as well and a lot of woodlice. I have uploaded some pictures. I stayed one night and... More

Arrived and tried to park in the narrow driveway that ran around the hotel, only to find there were no spaces, tried to get out and exit completely blocked by this huge jeep thing. Only way out was a 50 point turn to go out the way i came in...nightmare! How they can call it a car park I do... More

enjoyed our stay at the white hart - any requests were quickly seen to - excellent breakfast and we also enjoyed their Italian restaurant over the road 20 yds from the cathedral green - couldn't get much more central

I booked this hotel on the strength of the reviews already posted what a mistake! I really don't know how they can justify charging £90 for a room that needed a lot of TLC the carpets were e filthy and the shower in the bathroom was disgusting. The bedroom was so small two people have great difficulty in passing each... More

Booked last minute for one night. It was in a lovely spot opposite the cathedral and I managed to park fairly easily. Check in was ok but I did feel the lady was confused as to who I was and I didn't feel very reassured until she found my booking. The room was decent, clean and had everything I needed... More

We spent one night at the White Hart Hotel, and to be fair....it wasn't bad for the price and it is in a great location right opposite the cathedral square! As old hotels go, it does need a bit of TLC in places, but we did have a comfortable nights stay in Room 6 in the upper floor of the... More

Thank you for your lengthy and considered review. I am pleased to hear that you would come back again to our hotel, our very pleasant Irish waitress would be sure to welcome you. Your comments about the parking were very accurate, as you state this is a very old coaching inn, and therefore we are limited to the space available.... More

Spent one night here on our way to Cornwall from London. The hotel is just across from the Cathedral Close. Our room was adequate without being fancy. Nice dinner and breakfast at the hotel. I would choose this hotel again.

Just returned from a one night, Groupon offer stay at this Hotel. Not disappointed at all & would recommend to fellow travellers. Once we found it, ( make sure you familiarise yourself with the one way system around Wells!) pleasantly greeted & made welcome. We had a coach house room at the rear of the property which was very nice.... More

Thanks for the great review. The one-way system does take some getting used to, but sounds like you found it worth the effort. We do hope you come back, we always have our special offers on Trip Advisor. More

Excellent 2 day break too short unfortunately, great food and service as before. Fantastic location in wonderful Wells can't recommend this place enough. Great place to go if you're after large portions....
