Very welcoming and friendly people (especially after a 12 mile hike). Room was comfortable and warm, I got a great night's sleep and had a wonderful breakfast in the morning. In short, a wonderful place for a short break.

Charming B&B in Wells. Though the room wasn't huge, it was comfy and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Freshly cooked English breakfast in the morning was great and was largely locally sourced. There is a car park - but do let the owners know that you're bringing a car when you book as parking is tight.
Stayed for a family party after driving for 6 hours. Always a bit apprehensive as the quality of Guest Houses varies so much. I needed have worried as when we arrived we were greeted by a big smile from Vanessa, whatever we asked for was a pleasure for Vanessa to do for us. When we go back to this area...

Working away from home. I've stayed here before and would recommend to anyone. Freindly hosts, excellent food and functional but well appointed rooms.
We spent 3 weeks in England For two weeks we drove from the Keswick to central UK, to the south and toward London. In the two weeks, we must have stay in at elast 10 B&B's, this was one of the best palces we stayed. The family that owns this B&B is great. Breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable....

The proprietors were very friendly and helpful, and the room was tastefully and comfortably furnished. Being at the back of the house we had a lovely view of the Mendips and it was quiet. There was a good choice of things to eat and drink for breakfast, and the cooked items were nicely done.
We stayed overnight and were pleased with the situation a few minutes walk from the centre. Although we had a quiet room at the rear others said that even at the front on the road theyw ere not disturbed. The welcome was friendly and breakfast excellent
My two friends and I spent 4 nights at Mendip House and did day trips out in all four directions. This is a lovely old Victorian house with a view of the Mendip Hills and the room was very nice with plenty of room for 3 twin beds and had a huge Victorian bay window to the street. The breakfasts...

We received a friendly and warm welcome. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Assistance was provided with parking and clear directions were given on walking into Wells with recommendations for meals and sites to see. Even when the hot water service flooded downstairs in the morning we were catered for and explanations given.
We visited at the end of April for a 3night break.
When being shown the room I mentioned that the holiday was to celebarte our 35th wedding anniversary and on the day we were presented with a card and a bottle of champagne.
The room we had (Cherry) was very big and is suitable for a family. It had a...
