We wanted to visit the area to see the starlings on the Levels. Meare Manor was a good choice especially for a pre-breakfast dash to see the starlings. Our room was big and comfortable though I sense we had a bigger room. Very warm on the first cold weekend of the season. Good supply of tea, coffee and milk (though... More

Had a two night stay here. If it had been any longer, I would have wanted a bigger room. Breakfast was however lovely. Although there was free wifi in the bedroom it was not very good.the hotel was clean.

I arrived after 10pm due to traffic jams - I was the last to check in that evening, but was welcome and greeted courteously. The manager introduced himself by name and showed me to my room, helping me with my luggage, which was greatly appreciated. The room was very comfortable and I slept well. It was nice to see a... Firstly I do not enjoy writing negative reviews and always do try to find something positive but in this case. Where to begin, even though it's on a main road it's difficult to find as the sign is not lit up after dark. It looks good but don't be deceived . We checked in and were shown to our room... More

Owners are friendly and nice enough. The decor is out dated and old. Rooms are large and clean. The bar n social room is like a store room/ working mans club. It's far out. £10 in to Glastonberry, £5 to nearest pub for food. So can be expensive.

Unfortunately we began our visit on a bad note. Upon arrival, no parking was available, due to a local function at the Manor. We managed to squeeze into a spot, but had to move again when the function was over and people were leaving. The room was functional but unfortunately the walls were thin. However, it was clean and comfortable... More

On arrival the front of the building looked impressive. The welcome was very friendly and the room was large and clean with plenty of toiletries and even a glass of Port available which was a lovely touch. There is, unfortunately, a however. The decor was a little bit dated and although the breakfast menu states that the premises is a... More

Really nice friendly welcome. The owners work really hard to provide and excellent hotel, friendly service and relaxing atmosphere. About 4 miles from Glastonbury but really close to the cracking rspb reserves in the area. Really dog friendly and made us feel welcome. A great choice and service for breakfast and a bar that stays open til 10pm. Not much... More

We stayed overnight in lovely room, it was very quiet. It's a delightful old manor house history of Abbots fascinating. Breakfast first class choices as well as a varied Bar Menu - amazing, had a lovely evening & stay. We needed pet friendly and it was certainly that. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Nearby Street town and... More
