MAY 2009. We decided to base ourselves in Glastonbury and we chose to stay at PARSNIPS, what a great decision, it is the best B & B that we have ever stayed in. PARSNIPS is right on the edge of the grounds of the Abbey ruins, and sits at the base of the Tor. the room was first class, extremely clean... more

I have to agree with an earlier poster: there's no way this could have been better, really. This place is spotlessly clean and pleasantly decorated with very comfortable furniture. Our hostess, Lynda, was extraordinarily gracious and friendly. We tend to not be very social animals while we are traveling, and Lynda definitely respected that while being, at the same time,... more

Just returned home from 5 wonderful days in Somerset, and had to write a review of Parsnips. The B&B is situated in a great location for exploring Glastonbury, with all attractions only minutes away by foot. There is a guest car park in the rear garden with access through the guest lounge. We stayed in the Abbey Room, an en-suite double... more

From the moment we stepped foot in Parsnips Lynda and Lloyd treated us like family. The rooms were cozy and the bed was to die for. If allowed.... we would have slept the entire trip to Glastonbury! The English breakfast was one of the best on our trip through the U.K. The Parsons family have found their place in the... more

We stayed just one night but would have loved to stay longer. Lynda greeted us with a warm welcome and an offer of coffee or tea. The place is spotless, the garden is lovely, the breakfast room is sunny and bright and the food was more than expected. We hope to make it back there some day. Lovely host and... more

We went to Glastonbury for a Valentines getaway and booked this place on the recommenation of a work colleague and we weren't disappointed. The place was easy to find and I was pleasantly surprised to find a small private car park to the rear of the building. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and offered a coffee in the... more

I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay in this special town. The B&B is right on the edge of the grounds of the Abbey ruins, and sits at the base of the Tor. Lynda and Lloyd were tremendously kind and graceful hosts, and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. We had what... more

I live in London but have to come to Glastonbury regularly (at least once a month) as my Work Head Office is located there. I have stayed in a number of the local B&B's and they were all ok but I was given a recommendation by one of my colleagues to stay in Parsnips and I've never went to another... more

At Parsnips it's all in the details, from Lynda's warm friendly welcome, to the inviting and comfortable decor and amenities. We stayed in the small, but perfect, Tor room for one night. As a previous reviewer mentioned, we were initially concerned about traffic noise, but by the time we turned out the lights, all was quiet and we slept very... more

We have stayed at this B&B before, we loved it the first time and Parsnips didn't disappoint us. The welcome from Linda as always was wonderful, the bedroom comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We needed to leave early and our request for an early breakfast was happily accommodated, nothing was too much trouble. THANK YOU more
