First the good. Hawthorns is conveniently sited in the centre of Glastonbury within easy reach of the High Street and the market stalls, also lots of places to eat. It has its own restaurant which is quite rustic in appearance and there is plenty of choice on the menu. Curries are a speciality (and they are not your "common or... More

We loved staying here, we got the last available room for one night and although it was basic it was clean warm and very very welcoming. Set right in the centre of the town we were able to roam around the wonderful shops and bars while never straying to far from our base. They have themed nights and a warm... More

The Hawthorns Hotel in Glastonbury is conveniently situated near the town center. Although I have not stayed there I know people who have and they speak highly of it's accommodation. I have though eaten there many times, the food is delicious and curries are a specialty of the house. Simon the landlord has won many awards for his curries. But... More

Have stayed here twice, and it was a pleasure both times. Full English breakfast -- worth the visit all on its own! The people who own it are so very, very nice! Just sat and chatted with the fellow there for several minutes during breakfast. It's just down Northload street from Glastonbury Abbey, and is a wonderful quiet place to... More

We recently returned from Glastonbury after spending 10 days there. We went to Hawthorns on a few occasions firstly for Gary & his Bank (which were superb) the Open Mic on Tuesday, then to see Ash Mandrake (which was great and very different) and finally for the Blue James on the Sunday. On each occasion we had food and it... More

Popped in for Sunday lunch which was a carvery. I was quite disappointed. The meat was tough (we both went for the pork) the roast potatoes were dry and for me those two things are the stars of the show when having a Sunday lunch. The choice of vegetables were quite varied, I opened for swede and parsnip mash, cabbage... More

This small hotel, bar, bistro is situated just off the Market Cross in the centre of town - the owner cooks some really great Asian, Carribean and Indian food and offers a couple of well kept local real ales - staff are friendly and professional in a relaxed way - the atmosphere is pure Glastonbury, reminding me of the bar... Very close to best bars and shops. Food was excellent, breakfast & curries. Staff were really friendly. pub toilet facilities terrible, desperately need upgrading. Price of room very reasonable. Stayed in family room, spacious and perfect. Would def go again! ☺️
