With typical modesty the website for Butter Cross calls it "Four Star Accommodation", but where on earth do they lose a star? This is perfect in every way, from the warmth of the welcome offered by Susie and Robert to their beautiful home, the comfort of the spacious room and king-sized bed, the quality of the bathroom products to the... The welcome by Susie was lovely, we felt at ease straight away. The double room was extremely spacious, with a very comfy bed and the view from the window of the castle was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent; fresh fruit, cereal and a fantastic full english, cooked by Robert. We only stayed the one night but will definitely return. Thank you... More

We stayed there for three nights because our usual B & B could not accommodate us. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. Our room was large and comfortable, with views across the valley to the famous Dunster castle. The breakfasts were superb with everything a full English could offer. Robert was the 'short-order chef' and Susie... More

In total agreement with other reviews, You should both be the English Representation of how a family B&B should be, this delightful, house and garden, Your Home! You offer to your guests is on par with any 5* even better with the hospitality offered. Robert and Susie were welcoming, obliging, and very cheerful not forgetting the Black Lab, a pleasure... My friend and I stayed for three nights and we had a fantastic time.... nothing was too much trouble for Susie and Robert, and we shared a lot of fun and friendly 'banter'.... Robert had even cleared the garage so that we were able to park our motor bikes out of the rain and on the 'flat'.... breakfast was excellent... More

A delightful house in an excellent location. Our en-suite room was very comfortable, well-equipped, and clean. Robert and Susie were welcoming, obliging, and very cheerful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay with them

We spent one night at Butter Cross B&B at the beginning of a week's trip to Somerset, and absolutely LOVED it! We were with another couple, my brother and sister-in-law (there are two bedrooms, one en-suite, the other with a bathroom just across the hall) and were delighted with everything: the beds were VERY comfortable (always one of the most...
