Have just returned from a four night stay in Old Priory Cottage (attached to the B&B). It could not have been more cosy and charming. Jane made us feel very welcome and well looked after. Lashings of hot water and logs for the fire. Friendly dogs and a delightful country feel. An excellent base for our lovely stay in Dunster.... More

We stayed here for a special treat and it really was. The property is quite wonderful filled with beautiful antique furniture, soft furnishings and items obviously chosen and displayed with love and care by the owner Jane. We felt she was a friend and that is how she treated us. Such well-behaved dogs, lots of books and gorgeous breakfast. Real... More

The owner is very friendly, helpful and looks after your every whim. The building is like a theatre set and the master bedroom steeped in history as is the whole building. The 4 poster bed was luxurious and we slept like 2 logs. Breakfast was very good. A great antidote to the sterility of budget chains like Travelodge.

The Old Priory has a tremendous amount of history. Look at the name for a start. The B&B is one of THE best we have stayed at. Comfortable rooms, one even with a four poster bed. Lots of hot water! A decent breakfast that sets you up for the day, with a choice of cereals, fruit & yogurt and for... More

11th of of 12 B&Bs in Dunster? Ridiculous. The Old Priory is absolutely perfect. The room was fantastic, the bed supremely comfortable and the breakfasts some of the best I've ever had (thick slices of bacon, properly cooked mushrooms and eggs freshly delivered each morning). If you're offended by dogs slumbering on the chairs next to the fireplace or prefer... More

The stay was dissapointing - accommodation very old and did not feel comfortable. Dogs sitting on chair in room next to breakfast table.

I love this place. From the charming yard with its old apple trees and benches, to the old priory building itself it was magical! The rooms are all different and full of interesting stuff. The innkeeper and her friends and her funny dogs are perfectly wonderful. Can I live here?!

My two sisters and I stayed at the Old Priory as part of our week-long walking holiday booked through Footpath Holidays. I think the Old Priory is not their usual spot in Dunster, but I'm very glad we were there, because it was wonderful! Jane was very welcoming, and went out of her way to help us with details such... Dunster is a fabulous little town - it has everything you could possibly want. From great restaurants to a castle, and The Old Priory is truly a jewel in its crown. We were shown to our room by the lovely Jane - a fantastic four-poster in a huge room complete with massive bathroom to match. It was wood-panelled with quirky... More
