We went to the Stags Head for supper and we had a lovely meal. We were made to feel very welcome and instantly at home. The food was beautifully cooked, wel presented.and the service was second to none. We recently ate in one of the best restaurants in Bristol and the service at the Stags Head was of a higher... more

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 2 nights on 11-12th November. The double room allocated was brilliant - spotless, nice comfy big bed, en-suite shower/bathroom, tv, tea/coffee facilities. The pub is very pleasant with a log fire, a good range of beers, very good food (even if the choice is little limited), friendly staff. Run by a lovely couple.... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stags Head. Dunster is very quaint and the pub was cozy with a log fire, excellent food and a very comfortable bedroom with a king sized bed. The staff were friendly without being intrusive and the service was excellent, which all contributed to a very enjoyable few days away. Unfortunately there is no... more

My husband and I arrived late in the afternoon looking for a B&B for the night. The great service began from when we rang the front doorbell to checking out the next morning. Huge room, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. We also enjoyed a scrumptious dinner with excellent service and food. After three weeks on the road, we appreciated the... more

We have satyed at The Stags Head once previously and was once again thrilled to bits. Nothing was too much trouble. The food, as always, was excellent, especially the wild boar and calvados bruchetta. You must try it!!! We were lucky enough to stay whilst a group of local fiddlers were having their once a month visit. Great atmosphere and... more

We had a great experience staying at the Stags Head. The food was wonderful, and Michael and Bernice were excellent hosts. The well presented rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would advise other guests to book the restaurant early, as the inn is very popular with the locals at dinner time, no matter which day of the week it... more
