I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast it's set in a lovely quiet area with the cheddar gorge down the road. We were welcomed into Sue and Malcolm's home with open arms. Our room with ensuite bathroom was lovely and clean. We will definitely be back in the spring/summer time. An added bonus, if you like dogs, they have... More

This was our second visit to this lovely B&B. The rooms were very comfortable plus there was an excellent breakfast. Owners so pleasant, friendly and helpful. It seems there was nothing a guest might want that had been overlooked. Handy for Cheddar Gorge and the pretty village.

Sue was extremely welcoming, offered a much-needed pot of tea on arrival and could not have been more helpful in advising on evening dining options. The room was very comfortable but the real highlight was a fabulous cooked breakfast with a choice of hen, duck or guinea fowl eggs. Highly recommended, beautiful location and would not hesitate to stay again.

Sue and her family were really friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable the location is perfect to visit Cheddar. The breakfast was incredible: well prepared, home made food. Sue was really nice and funny from the very first moment and found the common voice with my mother. Great place to stay!

I stayed at the Chedwell Cottage for a long weekend with a couple of motorcycling friends and must say the proprietors were absolutely amazing! They went out of their way at any and every available opportunity to make us feel welcome and provide us with Tea & Coffee upon our return from a long days riding, The rooms are very... More

We went to Dismaland yesterday and thought to visit Cheddar Gorge too. Cheddar Cottage is about a 10-15 min walk to the bus stop where you get the open top tour bus at the village. Sue is very friendly and knowledgable and we had a very pleasant stay. The place is clean our little boy loved Tamsie their dog. Breakfast... More

We were barely in the front door when we were offered tea by Sue. We found Sue and Malcolm to be the friendliest, most helpful hosts we have ever met in a B&B. The room was homey, clean and comfortable, and we were welcome to sit downstairs in the lounge or outside in an inviting seating area in the garden... More

Had a marvellous stay here for a long weekend with family. Breakfast was delicious with home made preserves from their own garden and their own eggs. Lovely welcome tray in the front garden, we enjoyed tea in the sunshine. We would go back anytime. Sue Criddle and her daughter were extremely helpful in every way.
