Lovely atmosphere and excellent staff! We definitely visit again! Really close from Cheddar Gorge, perfect to have a walk around the town without car needed, free wi fi and lovely breakfast. 100% recommended

The owners of this hotel could not be more welcoming. Excellent breakfast served. Room was of a good size the double bed was only 5 foot and twin beds not available. The hotel is situated right on the roadside at a busy junction with a public car park and pub across the road. If you are a light sleeper ear... More

What a fantastic place Cheddar is. We were so lucky to have picked Gordons to stay. Clean, warm, great breakfast, great room, the perfect location for all the attractions and Sue, the 'landlady', was lovely. The pub across the road was the icing on the cake!! I will certainly be recommending to all my friends who now also want to... More

Reasonable prices, just what we needed after a long cold walk. Cosy, warm room, very clean. Friendly owner and staff. Nice place to stay, good location, very good breakfast. Would recommend. Free parking at the back.

6 mates in our 50s This the second night of our three day 50 mile walk, sadly we'd had a poor hotel experience in Wells which led me to write my first review ever! So to address the balance & prove we are not just getting grumpy in old age, just wanted to say we had a great night at... More

What a fantastic hotel!! I have stayed in a lot of different places and I can safely say that this is, without doubt, a little Somerset gem!! Sue and Kath could not have been any more helpful and the breakfast was fit for a king!! Needless to say I will be staying here again when in the area.

Stayed here for the 4th time this year and yet again we couldn't fault the hotel. Room was perfect and the breakfasts were excellent. Sue and the staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Cheddar (it is literally situated at the foot of the Gorge) or the surrounding area.
