Many things about the Grosvenor were great. The rooms were spotless and had been carefully decorated - the shared living room especially is gorgeous. We were gifted 2 nights in the Grosvenor Lodge by our children to celebrate our 40th.Wedding Anniversary(Thanks kids!) It was a really nice experience.The house is like something from a time-warp and extremely comfortable and Colin is a friendly and attentive host.. This was a wonderful place to stay! My sister and I had a great time. Very luxurious, but with a great price. My sister has Celiac's (can't have gluten) and so does the owner. A very welcoming host and most unusual accomodation. The sitting-dining room is vast, in the proportions of a ball room. Maybe that is what it was? It has a most remarkable and flamboyant ceilng; I've seen nothing like it outside a stately home, yet Grosvenor Lodge is merely one of a terrace of Regency houses. This wonderful B&B surpassed all expectations. The room interiors are very impressive with amazing high ceilings. There is free parking and only a 20-30 minute walk to the city centre or a quick bus ride. Very nice breakfast and a great host. We will visit again. more
