3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013 NEW

First impressions of the exterior and the entrance were not encouraging, but the room was large, beautifully clean and felt newly refurbished. Early check in was willingly given (and there was free wifi). Didn't eat in the bar but breakfast was fine and the welcome warm and friendly.

I came here as we were exhibiting at the bath & west show and I couldn't have got a better place. The staff are absolutely fantastic - really friendly and chatty. Breakfast was absolutely perfect - not greasy at all unlike most places. I had a meal in the evening and was lovely and fresh - cooked to order. I... More

This was a last minute booking to Bath, and there was basically nothing available in the city centre on a bank holiday weekend, so I chose the Radstock, approx 9 miles out of town I would describe it as a pub with rooms, rather than a hotel as such. They let us check in an hour early, and our rooms... More

The bedroom was a nice surprise. Looking at the outside and bar area, I would not have expected such a nice and clean room. The food was home cooked and excellent. I had the steak pie and soup. The breakfast is cooked to order and again, you can't fault it. I would go again.

Over the past few years this establishment appears to have had more managers than Chelsea FC. Some good, some bad, the current managers are well in the former. We never stayed here but had the Sunday carvery which was excellant value at £7.50. The weekday menu also looks enticing and again appears to offer good value. In the past the... More

Where to start, great hotel, wonderful staff...room was just what we needed....close to bath.....but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist trap....trust us....and try the wonderful meals created from the kitchen...the leak and lamb pie is to die for ....as was the pea and ham soup...only minor fault (for us) is the pillows... In the room...A... More

Don't be put off by the slightly run down outside appearance. The rooms are clean and well decorated. Breakfast was excellent and bar staff very helpful in arranging a taxi to take us to a wedding.I would recommend this hotel for short stays.

I used this hotel for one night as it was close to Bath University , Both of my sons were competing in the Excalibur fencing competition at the university. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was very nice and plentiful, room was freshly decorated and shower was great. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices.

I travelled with my 9 year-old daughter for a weekend at Longleat / Bath. The Radstock was centrally located to both, and although an old building. the rooms are pretty good. 2nd floor have been fully refurbished, while the 1st floor rooms are pending refurb - although tired in decor, they are wonderfully clean - I can't praise the staff... Stayed 2 nights here to visit bath, very welcoming, nice room, breakfast was brilliant (as was the bar food). About 10 miles from bath, easy drive, bus or taxi journey. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
