I booked this hotel for its location and visual appeal. Well, one out of two isn't bad. Ideally situated for me, the choice was good. When I went to check in, it changed. I was shown my room from the bottom of the stairs, went up to it and entered. The room was like a sauna, so I went to... More

Stayed here during the hottest part of July on record. Rooms were clean with fresh towels/soap each day. Coffee/tea making facilities in room. Flat screen TV. The landlord put a fan in the room (no a/c) which was a life saver - thank you. Bed was great - had a wonderful sleep. Food in the restaurant is excellent value for... More

Stayed with Radstock Hotel for six nights. Excellent accommodation, rooms were clean and tidy, good amenities and free wifi was good throughout the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ate downstairs several times, the food was exceptional for the price, very nice and plenty of it. Especially breakfast which was included in the price. Located on the main road,... More

On the plus side, bed was comfy and the shower was great. But it was very warm and stuffy (why are the radiators in in June) and the traffic noise through the night was very loud. Breakfast was ok apart from the very cheap tasting sausages. The whole place does need smartening up I don't think we will go back

On arrival nearly changed our mind and got back in the car, hotel looks very tired and grubby, took the plunge and went in , dirty worn carpets on entry, bar area looks depressing, checked in and paid 74pounds for 1 night must have been crazy, found our room after a few flights of stairs where the paint work was... Went for a family meal (not for the first time) as the food here is lovely and the pub is spacious and always spotless! However...the lady who serves the food, who i believe to be the manageress?..has alot to learn about customer service and manners. She is abrupt and a smile would not go amiss.

For £80/night, you too can experience stained carpets, doors that lock you in from the outside, lights and hair dryers that don't work, and a rude reception from Mike. This is over-priced for a hotel, especially a dive like Radstock Hotel. The rooms look out onto the main road, so don't expect much sleep with all the traffic and drunkards... More

We stayed here for convenience for our onward journey. The pub was fairly quiet but it was a Wednesday night. We were particularly impressed that the Rolling Stones, Midnight Rambler was playing in the bar.The decor was a bit tired, but our room was pleasantly spacious and there was a lot of storage space. The bed was comfortable, there were... More

We just stopped here for a meal when staying elsewhere. We walked into the bar and the barmaid told us to take any table, choose our meal and order at the bar. We sat on a table, only to be told quite rudely that the seat my husband had sat in was going to be used on another table and... More

From my 1st phone call to what I presume was the manager l, to the moment we checked out the staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and lovely large shower. Tea and coffee are available in your room. A full English breakfast is served with a choice of cereal, fruit,... More
