From the moment I rang the Astor House I felt welcomed and we were provided with early check-in arrangement. The house has a warm and homely atmosphere and we felt relaxed when moving around the communal areas. The proprietor was polite and friendly and the room we stayed in (Room 2) was very clean and presentable. We would not hesitate... more

This accomodation was perfect for us (group of 7 friends) and reasonably priced for the location. We took over the top floor and rooms were all individually decorated, clean and comfortable. Some had views of the town centre including the Cresent etc which was lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was perfect! 15-20 mins slow walk into town... more

Me and my husband (newly wed that same day) booked the B&B for our wedding night as we were on a very low budget and had read positive reviews, sadly it was not as described! The room was decorated in the style and probably in the 1970's with everything really decrepid and old. The bathroom was damp and had a... more

Arrived having been recommended by another hotel and was very pleasantly greeted by the owner. The room was very tastefully furnished as was the rest of the house very much in keepng with the period it was built in. The breakfast was excellent and very speedily served. There was no difficulty parking and the centre of Bath only a few... more

Excellent B&B about a 15 minute walk from the center of Bath. Nicely decorated accommodations. Very clean and comfortable. Ample breakfast cooked to order. Friendly staff/family gave us great information for our travels. This was our 11-year old daughter's favorite stop out of 30 days of travel as she loved the room with the charming dormers and gingham bed linens.... more

We arrived in Bath on the spur of the moment after travelling elsewhere and sought the help of Bath Tourist Information to book accommodation for one night. Their computer system brought up Astor House and we booked for a night at £65. We stayed in room 3, this room is bigger than average, en suite with a large bay window,... more

We just returned from a vacation in and around the city of Bath UK. We decided to try to Astor House on Oldfield Rd. We looked at the accommodation we could see online and thought it was our best value. I will say we had never been to the UK before. We arrived at the B&B and found our room... more

We stayed 2 nights in the Ascot House in Bath. Our room was decorated beautifully with at bay window and a very comfortable four-poster bed. It was a reasonable walking distance to the Abbey and city center. We had originally planned to stay only one night, but were able to add an additional night when we decided to stay longer... more

This is a nice house in a good location but at the price it has too many drawbacks. The worst was a dreadful noise from an adjacent room - extractor fan perhaps - that almost made the room shake. The bathroom was cramped. There was electrical equipment that was well beyond its retest date. The breakfast was disappointing with really... more
