The Henry was a great place to stay. Our room on the top floor was small but fit our needs perfectly. We had a great view and all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was perfect. The Henry is very centrally located within a few minutes walk from the train station. It was an added bonus to be able to leave... More

My friend and I travel together when I come over from the US (she lives in Kent County), and we selected The Henry as our destination primarily because The Henry is located just a few steps from "everything"! The room was comfortable and super clean, the breakfast was delicious and made to order, but what made the stay so exceptional... More

Hello Kate, Thanks so much for your lovely review. We are very glad that you and your friend enjoyed yourselves here at the Henry and that our recommendations for places to eat and things to do were just right for you. As you say, we are very central here so it is an ideal place for visiting Bath. We so... More

We loved staying at the Henry Guest House. It is located at the center of the city and within walking distance of ALL the sites. We were located on the third floor, the stairs were tight on the top, but the room was perfect for my husband and me. The room was clean and had all the we needed for... More

Thanks for your review Jessica. We are glad you had a good stay with us here at The Henry. You are right, the stairs to the top floor are steep, which is why we recommend on the website that people with mobility problems chose rooms on the lower floors. However, that is part of the charm of an old building... More

Great place. If you are driving there is a car park about a block away. Great place to stay. It is within walking distance of everything. Owners were very helpful and breakfast was wonderful. We will stay here next time we are in the UK.

Hello Chuck, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us here at The Henry. The car park you mentioned is called Manver's Street car park and is very close for our guests so thanks for mentioning that. Look forward to seeing you again next time you are here! Tonia More

Dreadful, noisy Location. The Henry is located right in the heart of Bath's vibrant night life scene. I could hear the din from nearby Po Na Na and almost feel the base from Scene 13 on Manver's Street. A din that bizarrely got louder at 3am. Tailed off by 04:30am and I finally got some sleep. On mentioning to the... More

Hello, I cannot check to see if you stayed with us or not because you have not given your names here. What I can tell you is that no one has ever complained to me about loud music at night. There is no club called Scene 13 on Manvers Street. (There is a club called Sub 13 on the other... More

We had a lovely time staying at The Henry House. We stayed in room 2 and our daughters were in room 3. Beautiful view out our window. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff member who showed us to our room and answered our questions. Our rooms were comfortable, filled with anything one could possibly need for an overnight... Hi Laurie, Thanks for your review. We loved meeting you and the family. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us at The Henry. You saw our little garden out back at its best with the summer geraniums and lavender in bloom. Glad to know you had all you needed and that you enjoyed the breakfast. Take care... More

The Henry Guest House is perfect for visitors traveling by train. It's just a five minute walk from the train station and then equally close to the Abbey and Roman Baths. OUr room was very nice. You get a very good selection at breakfast. The only drawbacks are those associated with any historic building: no elevator, no air conditioning, and... More

Hello and thanks for the review. You are right about the quirkiness of this historic building. We are certainly not a place for those who want a bland hotel room that could be anywhere in the world. This is a Georgian house, with all the things to be expected in such an old building: as no lift, steep stairs and... More

The Henry is a great place to stay. Its location is perfect: close to the train and bus station and not far away from the abbey and the Roman baths, the shops and restaurants. But what makes staying there a really exceptional experience is the way you are welcomed and taken care of by Tonia and Guido. In no time... More

Dear Christel and Koen, We so much enjoyed meeting you both. You did so many things while staying with us, from concerts to discovering the steam train, that you taught us a few things! We loved our chats over breakfast about travelling and languages. We hope you will have a fantastic summer in all the other places you plan to... More

Location was great, short walk to the train station and to the Roman Baths and center of Bath itself. Nice English breakfast but a tight one hour window. They did make up a breakfast bag for us when we went on a bus tour that departed before breakfast was served. The room was basic but comfortable. We had a great... More

We arrived cold, wet and tired at the Henry House at the completion of our 100 mile walk on the Cotswold Way and within a few minutes, Tonia and Guido had brightened our day! They produced a hot "cuppa" of tea and some sweets for us and thereafter continued to make the essential difference between just a place to stay... More
