We needed to find reasonably priced Saturday night accommodation. The price was good and the room was spacious. Breakfast was sufficient and Isabel the hostess was nice. The downside was that the room hadn't really been cleaned properly. The surfaces were dusty and the cushions on the bed were sticky. Only 2 pillows for 2 people. The bathroom, although private... My husband and I went to Bath for a long weekend and decided to stay at the Grove Lodge. Although it is not in the centre of town, it is just far away enough to see the non-touristy part of Bath on your way in. The Lodge is a 20 min walk to the city centre (Abbey, Roman Baths etc).... More

We stayed at Grove Lodge in March 2013 and would recommend this Bed and Breakfast if you would like free off road parking and don't mind a 20 minute walk into town (downhill) and a bus ride back, (bus stop is 3 houses down from B&B). (Apparently if you drive through the centre of Bath there are certain areas you... More

About 1.5miles from the centre, away from the revellers and an easy walk in. Nice views, good sized rooms and good value compared to other B&Bs. The most comfortable bed I've slept in, in a while. Breakfast was adequate. Only bad thing was early check out at 10.30, although the manager was very fair in negotiating a later check out.

When staying in Bath, you really do want to stay in a Bath stone villa with high ceilings, big rooms, magnolia trees and nice cake. If you can afford Royal Crescent, luck you, but if not, stay at Grove Lodge!

We stayed at Grove Lodge to experience a weekend in bath and ther surrounding area. Isabel the hostess was lovely - she made us very welcome and even offered us coffee ad cake when we arrived. We had booked a room with a Superking bed and a private bathroom, which was literally just across the corrisor from us. The room... More

Grove lodge is located at the entrance of bath. I was in bus arriving at bath spa when I realised it and I immediately thought I made a mistake by opting for a lodge so far away. Gladly I was proven wrong. We had booked the double en suite room for three nights. The room was every worth it's penny.... More

Me and my husband had the pleasure of staying at the Grove lodge for our anniversary on the 29th July for 2 nights. The location is a perfect as it is a 20min walk into Bath Town with all the attractions. Grove lodge itself is a lovely bread and breakfast and our host Isabel was very welcoming and gave us... More

Great place to spend the weekend away, we used this B&B after trying several other over priced B&B's in Bath Beautiful big rooms with high ceilings and lots of extra comforts we had not had before in other places in Bath Breakfast was also great, set us up for a great game of rugby later in the day

My best friend and I have a "girly shopping trip" every summer and since we discovered Grove Lodge about four years ago, we don't stay any where else. Everything is just perfect: it's a beautiful, elegant house in a very handy location. We both drive and park just round the corner and use the bus which stops just outside. Isabel... More
