We declare Isabel Miles' Grove Lodge Bath's Best B & B! Well, we haven't tried any others yet. But after spending a wonderful five day vacation here while visiting our children who live in Bath (close by on Gloucester Road), we won't need to try any others! In other words, on our next visits to Bath, we will definitely be... More

Quintessential English b &b at its best. Extremely clean, very comfortable and with a delicious breakfast that included home made bread and only an interesting stroll away from the centre of Bath made Grove Lodge such a treat for a weekend away.

Very pleasant experience. I don't write reviews very often, but in this case it really goes from the heart. We stayed there some time ago, and I still remember these days with warmth. Very nice building, maintained and conserved with care and love. Accommodating hostess, tasty breakfast, cosy rooms, but one detail stroke us the most. One boiler was broken... More

I had my second stay at the beautiful Grove Lodge in June 2013. Isabel was her usual welcoming and pleasant self with a hot cup of tea and home made cake at the ready. I love this home/B & B. it was very clean and well maintained. The room was large and the bed comfortable. It is a fairly easy... More

Not usually a 'reviewer' however I had such a welcoming, positive experience at Grove Lodge that I felt it would be rude not to. I was greeted by Isabel at the door who during our whole stay was professional, very friendly and catered promptly to all our needs. The building is well located on the outskirts of the centre of... Had a lovely stay at the Grove Lodge - home made cake & hot drinks on arrival & were made to feel very welcome from the outset. The room was cosy yet cool and everything was spotless. Breakfast was delicious, again our host was very accommodating. She also helped us out with maps & useful knowledge about tourist attractions. Although it's... More

Grove Lodge was perfect for what we wanted and we would definately stay here again. We had a large double room on the top floor that had amazing views, comfy bed and was very clean. Breakfast was great and the hosts are very welcoming. When searching for a B&B I found a lot of them were very over priced and... More

We stayed two nights here in June. Loved the location in Bath as we were able to take the bus directly to downtown without having to move our car and look for a parking place. Much less stressful. At arrival, we were offered tea and cake and given suggestions and tips (and maps) for any of the sights of Bath... More

My husband and I stayed here during May initially intending to stay only 2 nights while visiting Bath. However, as it was such a lovely B&B, we extended our stay to 4 nights using this place as a base to explore surrounding areas on day trips. We had home made cake on arrival and Isabel (owner) cooked the best English... More
