This was a perfect cosy cottage for a relaxed get-away. It was close enough to Bath for all that city has to offer, yet far enough away for blissful tranquillity. The place is well equipped with bedding, firewood and kitchen equipment and there's even a decanter of sherry to greet you on arrival. Just the job.

Brooks View Cottage is charming, romantic and is the most perfect getaway in the English countryside, ideal for country walks, bird watching, relaxing and even fly-fishing. Our favourite parts were the traditional wood burning stove, BBQ, elegant Victoria roll top clawed bath and luxury king sized bed. Ann & Michael are the perfect hosts and the cottage has an incredibly... More

We loved our stay at Brooks View at the end of October. The cottage was cosy and the extras that were waiting for us when we arrived were much appreciated. We just wish we could have stayed for longer!

Lovely little cottage only 10 mins from bath yet in a beautiful countryside setting. Very clean and well kept. Ideal for two people. Slightly pricey at over £100 a night but not really for the area. Definitely worth a visit. Lots of walks locally and lovely views. Garden out the front of the house not the back.

Had a Superb 2 day short Break here. Wonderful scenery, very well equipped cottage. Good information available on local area, Highly Recommended. Very quiet & secluded, great place to get away from everything & recharge your batteries.

What a lovely little cottage, cosy, warm and spotless. Had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. the garden and surroundings were so picturesque. We spent ages photographing the birds ( some we'd never seen before) who visited the bird table just outside the cottage. The summerhouse was a great place to sit and watch the river, at the bottom... More

HI there Michael and I were thrilled with your review..Michael especially as he cares so much about the birds...we have a significant bird feeding corridor as a result with all their special foods. Many of our guests seem to appreciate them as birds have largely disappeared from urban environments. And of course being so close to the brooks provides river... More

This cottage is perfect for couples who want to be in the countryside but also close to Bath and its attractions. It's beautifully decorated, so cosy, and absolutely spotless. Everything we needed was there: kitchen equipment, towels, extra pillows, guidebooks, logs for the fire, TV/DVD... and a free decanter of sherry which was a nice touch! Highly recommend Bath: the... A lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful, remote location. We really enjoyed our stay here - not far for getting into Bath centre yet in a lovely, remote, countryside location. the cottage is small and cosy with a lovely garden which would be fantastic in the summer.

Very good of you to take the time to write. The cottages (Brooks' View and Fishermen's Retreat ) were renovated last year and have proved to have an appeal as they are so close to Bath (12 mins) and of course now are on the Sustrans 24 so you can walk or cycle in through the newly opened Two Tunnels.... Absolutely gorgeous little cottage, nicely tucked away yet a very quick drive into Bath. The cottage is spotless and has an up-to-date, pleasing decor throughout. So many helpful guide books in the living room, and basic amenities such as coffee provided. Cute garden too - wish I had realised the summer house was at the bottom of the garden sooner!... More

We had a great time in Bath and it was nice to stay at this lovely little cottage. So quite, lots of birds and the nature. My cottage was so clean and nicely decorated. When I checked in to my little cottage at night the fire place was on and great fire nice and warm, I felt at home. Nice... More
