We stayed here a few days ago and had a great weekend despite the weather. Our room was quite small, (I know others are larger) but it had lovely views of the river which more than made up for its size. The food was excellent and good value for money (Both Dinners and Breakfasts) but what really made our stay... more

The location is lovely, right beside the river and overlooking the meadows beyond. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast good and served quickly and efficiently, which was appreciated as we were late up and had a 9.00 am appointment in Bath ! We had a cheap room in the Lodge (£60 for two people) so were not expecting too... more

We stayed at the Old Mill (our 11th stay) for a 3 night break from 31st Oct leaving on the 3rd Nov. We are big fans of this Hotel and it's wonderfull location on the River Avon and walked into Bath each morning along the canal towpath after breakfast. As expected the food both for breakfast and evening meals was... more

Myself, my husband, our two year old and our three month old stayed here with my in-laws on a 2 night break. The trip was not cheap and from the moment we arrived we wondered what on earth we had paid for. The rooms were in need of a damn good clean, the bathrooms stunk of cigarette smoke because the... more

We had a family weekend (3 nights). We found the staff helpful, courteous and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we found the waiting staff really helpful. Oh dear the rooms, sadly the lodge is just not what you expect - the walls are paper thin so you can quite easily listen to next door's TV or if... more

We arrived at the Old Mill Hotel without a reservation but the very friendly staff were able to accommodate us for two nights, one in the lodge and a second night in the hotel. The room in the Lodge is quite small but we had stayed in much smaller rooms elsewhere in the UK. More importantly, it was clean and... more

This was booked for a special family occasion. The food was disappointing, we paid extra for steak for 4 of us.It was bland and tasteless, the 3 medium size dishes of vegetables and 3 of potatoes was mean for 13 to share! The four poster room was lovely, breakfast was rushed ie the eggs arrived before even the cereal was finnished.... more

I was sorry to read that the reviewer found the steaks bland and tasteless as we have an excellent reputtion for our 28 day matured steaks and it is extremely isolated if we receive any form of complaint. If they were totally unhappy they should have raised the point at the time and an adjustment would have been made. We...

We had two different rooms for different nights (we got the only room left both nights). Both were large, clean and comfortable. This is an old charming hotel (don't expect modern Miami Beach, etc.) within a short walking distance from local pubs and the water taxis to downtown Bath. The food was good, breakfast was ample and staff were helpful.... more

Oh my, what a sham indeed. Picture the scene, a bank holiday in August and my husband and I are driving back from a weekend away. We come across a picture postcard scene of a toll bridge over a river with a hotel one side and a pub the other. The parked and found that the pub was so busy... more

May I apologise to the writer of this review as clearly what we presented to them on the day was not up to our usual standard. I will confirm however that the beef chilli was heated in a pan and not blitzed in the microwave as suggested. The ploughmans always comes very well presented and with a salad garnish, but...

I do belive this hotel once was rarther grand, unfortunatly not a lot has be done to it since. it has a beautiful setting, but what ashame about the decor (check the celling in the bar area) The green carpets and yellow walls combined with a mumbling head waiter, that seemed to be in a hurry to get home, all... more
