We found this hotel online and one of the reasons we booked it was because it said it had "parking". Not so unfortunately, we had to park in a short term car park to actually find the hotel and on checking in we were told that we had to park in a long term car park some 10 minutes walk... More

From reading the reviews we knew that the Milsoms Hotel was above a fish restaurant so that wasn't a surprise to us. When we arrived it took a while to be seen to because the restaurant was busy and there is no separate check in area for hotel guests. Once a staff member was free they were polite and friendly.... The hotel is more of a restaurant with rooms, with the reception being at the restaurant bar. Not ideal but we chose the hotel for the position as we were attending a friends wedding reception only a few minutes walk away. The room was on the top floor and it was clean and well prepared. The bathroom was very clean... More

On arrival at this hotel we were shown through the restaurant through the toilet door to the stairs of the hotel (I knew there were no lifts before coming but was not quite prepared for these) we had a room on the top floor that was up 74 very steep winding staircase - my asthma did not like it much!... The service left a lot to be desired, no help with cases although the staff were all having a good chat at the bar.The room was tired and in need of re plastering as large open cracks on the ceiling. The curtain had come off the rail so the curtains could not be drawn properly, the shower tray was blocked... More

Anyone familiar with locations such as York or Oxford will no doubt have at least heard of Bath. Historically one of the most interesting cities that still remains relatively unspoilt. That noted, the fact that you are reading this review means you are already aware of some its charms and you’re looking for a base from which to explore them... More

Visiting Bath as short notice, I was a little dismayed when I realised that this hotel is above the Loch Fyne restaurant on Milsom Street. It just goes to show that appearances can be deceptive. Check-in is at the bar, but the room turned out to be a massive-double height Georgian beauty, with a marble fireplace and windows overlooking Milsom... More

Review from my wife and daughter > Hotel situated on top of a Loch Fyne Restaurant so it is constantly busy. Add to the fact that it is situated on a very busy road. When we asked for a quiet room it was dismissed with a "what do you want that for". Service is at best poor. Rooms are functional.... More

To be clear, this is a 4* Restaurant with Rooms, not a 4* Hotel. As such, it is perfect for a short stay in Bath and to see local attractions. The rooms are comfy, if in need of some fresh paint, the beds are excellent and the breakfast is of high quality and with plenty of choice. Parking is at... More
