Location is the only thing going for this old, dirty and expensive hostel. But considering the town of Bath is tiny, it's not saying much. 23gbp for a 10 bed dorm full of crappy beds, dirty sheeLocation is the only thing going for this old, dirty and expensive hostel. Don't stay here, but if you need a place to drop off your stuff for the day, they can watch it for you for 3 pounds. Free if you're a guest. It irritates me when establishments coopt the word "funky" in situations where "decrepit" is more accurate. A really half-assed attempt at decoration - there were a couple of unframed... More

Hostel with all the facilities you need for a shirt stay. Beds and rooms are okay to live in for a few day stay but wouldn't recommend for longer ventures. Kitchen and lounge are nicely decorated and they offer a room that's open 24hr which is nice for late night socialising.

I have stayed in some poor hostels but this one is at the bottom. The bathroom was dirty and shower needed attention each time I went to use it. The room was ok at best. I tried to "get away" from the people in my dorm room at 5 in the morning to use wifi downstairs in the common area... More

The best thing about this hostel is the location, there is very little else good about this place. We were staying in Bath for only one night and I couldn't find any where that didn't cost best part of a months rent for one night so we ended up here. The room was small and cramped, the beds although clean... More

I went for one night in April 2014 as I had a Applicant Day to go to. The location is amazing and I cannot fault it. The price was good for one night. And the bed was decent but I didn't sleep well due to the road and snoring but I don't sleep well as a rule anyway. The social... More

The only thing going for this place is its central location and lower prices. Staff seemed half asleep and depressed, they also all live there and take over the kitchen and small lounge at times. The kitchen and main bathroom seemed clean but both had bad smells to them particularlythe bathroom which stank of mould. The bedroom was clean but... More

The only positive about this hostel is its location. But there are other hostels close by so chose those instead if location is important. The bathrooms are disgusting, the kind in which you hold your breath. The common room and kitchen weren't much better and the hostel staff were disinterested at best. I heard that the ymca was much better... More

Pros: 1. Super location. Cons: 1. Completely lacks character. 2. December and the heating wasn't working. The window was broken too and it couldn't be shut fully. Everyone was freezing in the room. 3. Hair dryer doesn't work. 4. Poor cleanliness. 5. The dungeon/bar area was horrible and smelly and not an active bar at all, don't go there. 6.... More

In a country flooded with party hostels that pump more money into their bars than their beds or bathrooms, it's nice to find a hostel that actually feels like a hostel. It's old and daggy, of course, but isn't that how it's supposed to be? I see a lot of complaints about the size of the rooms, but both the... More
