The hostel is about a mile up a steep hill from the city and about a mile and a half from the city centre. It occupies a high spot from which (when there are no leaves on the trees) there are delighful views of the city. There is a t.v. room, a dinner lounge, a bar area and a kitchen area... More

We booked on the basis that it was very cheap. Cheap comes for a reason. We drove up and the place had aged quite a lot since the photos were taken. On having a look at our room it was filthy and uncomfortable. So much so we chose not to stay there. For choosing not to be able to stay... More

We had a private room for four ie two bunk beds, in the main building. It was small but fine for what we needed. The beds were comfortable and the room at a temperature that suited us, with windows that we could open when needed. It is up a long hill - we walked down and then used a cab... More

We used this hostel as a base for an under 16 rugby tour around Bath. Finding venues can always be difficult as you need to find a venue big enough to host 30 boys. If you have a touring party , I can recommend this venue. It is a short , if uphill walk from the town center .The rooms... More

We stayed in a female only, 8-bed-room for two nights. Number of toilet and showering rooms are adequate in the hostel. If you book a room as such, you will get a bed for renewed bedspread and pillow case. there are three lockers in our room, and you will need to prepare your own lock. the location of Bath YAH... I had booked two nights at Bath YHA over Christmas. I had booked single room for first night and a bed in female four bed dormitory for second as the private rooms were already booked on the second night. On arrival I was advised I could have a room to myself for both nights at no extra cost as there... More

Its a YHA. Location is spectacular. The staff are friendly and obliging. Wash and dry clothes for chips. Warm and clean room with huge ensuite bathroom. Worth it just for the view over the city of Bath. Bus to and from the driveway plus free parking on the street.

Booked here for one night in December 2013. As many have said before, the hostel is situated on a hill so even though it's only a couple of km's walk from the station, it does become quite exhausting with luggage. There are direct buses to and from the station and the city centre and the bus stop is situated across... More

The main disadvantage of this hostel is the 15min uphill gradual walk from the city. However, there is on-street parking nearby and there is also a bus stop. The hostel itself is in a lovely italianate stone mansion and the facilities in this building are quite good. Breakfast is good to average (but you need to get there in time... More

very far from the main attractions in Bath, need to walk up hills for more than 15 minutes. No parking for car. However, excellent value for comfortable sleep if is not winter, no heater provided in the room. Breakfast is average.
